Keep the Second Skin On (24 Hours Minimum) This protective barrier is essential to shield your fresh tattoo from bacteria and promote proper healing. It also helps the ink settle beautifully. Hands Off Resist the urge to poke, peel, or touch your tattoo (yes, even if it looks super cool already). Let the skin do its thing!
Remove the Second Skin Gently Do this in the shower or under running lukewarm water. Peel it slowly downward, not upwards, to avoid pulling any ink from the skin. Clean the Tattoo Wash gently using fragrance-free, mild soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel or paper towel. Do not scrub or rub! Start Using Ointment Apply a thin layer of the provided ointment 2–3 times a day with clean hands. This helps moisturise and protect the healing skin.
Keep the Area Clean & Moisturised Continue gently cleaning the area twice daily and applying ointment as directed. Let the skin breathe – no overloading with product. Avoid: Makeup or skincare products on/around the tattoo Excessive sweating – skip the gym, HIIT classes, or marathon runs Picking, scratching or peeling – your skin will flake naturally!
Still Avoid: Direct sunlight or tanning beds Swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or baths Tight clothing over the area if it causes rubbing Your tattoo is still healing underneath even if it looks better on the surface – take it easy!
Watch for Infection: Redness and slight swelling are normal at first, but if you see excessive redness, oozing, pus, or feel feverish, contact me or a medical professional ASAP. Healing time varies – on average, it can take 2–4 weeks depending on the area and your skin.
