Terms & Conditions

1. About the Business

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Emma, Level 4 Advanced Skin Therapist, operating in the United Kingdom.

By booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Booking & Deposits

All appointments require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your time slot. This booking fee will be deducted from the total cost of your treatment.

By booking, you acknowledge that the booking fee secures appointment time specifically allocated to you.

Appointments are not confirmed until the booking fee has been received.

3. Cancellations & Late Attendance

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in loss of the booking fee.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours or failure to attend (no-show) may result in 100% of the treatment cost being charged.

If you arrive late, treatment time may be reduced to avoid disruption to other clients. The full treatment fee will still apply.

These policies are in place to protect business time and operational costs.

4. Consultation & Medical Information

All clients must complete a consultation form prior to treatment, and where relevant a pre-consultation appointment is required.

You are legally responsible for providing accurate and complete medical information, including:

  • Medical conditions
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Current medications (including Roaccutane, antibiotics, etc.)
  • Allergies or sensitivities
  • Recent aesthetic procedures

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in adverse reactions. Emma cannot accept liability where information has been withheld.

Emma reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsuitable, unsafe or contraindicated.

5. Treatment Suitability & Results

All treatments are tailored to the individual. Results vary depending on:

  • Skin type and condition
  • Medical history
  • Lifestyle factors
  • Homecare compliance

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill. However, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

6. Advanced & Device-Based Treatments

Treatments involving chemical peels, electrotherapy or medical-grade devices require:

  • Full consultation and informed consent
  • Strict adherence to pre- and post-care advice
  • Avoidance of sun exposure where advised

Failure to follow aftercare guidance may compromise results and increase risk of complications. Emma cannot accept responsibility where aftercare instructions have not been followed.

7. Lash Lift & Brow Lamination Treatments

Patch testing may be required at least 24–48 hours prior to treatment.

While all products used are professional-grade, allergic reactions can occur. By proceeding with treatment, you accept this risk.

8. Payments & Pricing

Full payment is due at the end of each appointment.

Prices reflect advanced qualifications, professional-grade skincare, and the use of medical-grade equipment. Prices may be amended at any time but will not affect confirmed bookings.

9. Refunds

Due to the nature of aesthetic services, refunds cannot be provided once a treatment has been performed.

If you believe a service has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill, you must notify Emma within 48 hours so the matter can be assessed and, where appropriate, remedial action offered.

10. Data Protection & Confidentiality

Client information is collected for consultation and treatment purposes only and is stored securely in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Personal data will never be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.

Clients have the right to request access to their personal data at any time.

11. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be redeemed within the stated validity period. They cannot be exchanged for cash.

12. Right to Refuse Service

Emma reserves the right to refuse treatment where:

  • A condition is contraindicated
  • Medical information is not disclosed
  • Aftercare advice has not been followed
  • Behaviour is inappropriate
  • A client attends under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Client safety and professional standards are always prioritised.
