What are dermal fillers?

How do dermal fillers work?

As we age, the skin gradually loses collagen, elasticity, and volume. Dermal fillers are placed beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, and enhance contours. The results are immediate, with continued improvement as the filler settles.

Depending on the area treated and individual factors, results can last between 6–18 months.

Aftercare advice

Following dermal filler treatment, we recommend:

• Avoid touching or massaging the area for 24 hours unless advised
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours
• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
• Avoid heat treatments, saunas, or facials for at least 7 days
• Sleep with your head elevated on the first night
