What To Expect When You Visit

If you’re reading this - welcome! We can’t wait to get to know you and see what we can do to help. Without being too forward, you’re here for a reason, right?
We know that the first time trying something new can be overwhelming, stressful, and sometimes even painful! We don’t want that to be your experience here. Every single person you come across in your day has something about themselves that they want to change, but most people aren’t sure where to begin. We can’t promise to change your whole life, but we can help you change your skin. This has been our calling and our privilege as therapists for over a decade, and it’s why we started The Honest Beauty Collective… To give people just like you customised, HONEST advice.
At your First Appointment….
… we’ll be asking you to complete our intake form, so that we can learn more about you and keep you safe throughout your journey. We promise that we are not here to judge; we just want to make sure that everything we recommend for you is going to be safe and effective. There’s honestly nothing worse than getting talked into a bunch of new products to take home and try, and then you realise that you don’t like it because it smells funny, or the texture is weird! We will also cover your consents for treatment initially, so we know what treatments you may be limited to and why.
After the paperwork is out of the way, we get to chat! We will ask you a lot of questions, because we want to know all about you, and so we can make sure that your questions are answered and that you understand your treatment and how it will benefit you. It’s easier to get started when you understand why. We LOVE to educate and share our knowledge and experience, so we hope you get a lot out of it. We will take some photographs of your skin at this point, so we can track your progress.
If you’re 100% happy to proceed at this point, the real fun begins… because it’s finally time for your first treatment!
Once we show you how to get ready for your treatment, we will give you some privacy to get comfy. From this point on, it’s all about you! We encourage you to tell us how things are feeling on your skin, if you like/ don’t like it, if our pressure is ok - things like that! We WANT you to feel safe and in charge. This is YOUR skin journey; we’re just helping
After your treatment…
… we will go over your home-care prescription together.
The correct home care minimises risks, improves healing and drastically improves your results. It’s a little bit like going to the gym; your home care prescription is your “eating healthy foods and exercising”, and your treatment plan with us is your “Personal Training session” - so NOT doing the home care is a bit like working out and eating fast food afterwards! This time also gives you an opportunity to ask any lingering questions you might have, so don’t be afraid to ask, because there are no silly questions here!
Once we book your next session, you’re free to go on with your day, feeling positive about your new direction and hopeful about what’s coming your way - your best skin, ever!
