- Make sure you bring loose clothing and footwear to your appointment if you are not already wearing them. Long sleeves and trousers are perfect! If it is raining please cover up to protect your tan!
- Do not touch your skin once the tan is complete, you will get tan transfer onto your hands and this will not come off.
- Rinse your tan off after the discussed development time from your consultation. Do not rinse this earlier as the tan will not have developed. If you have an express tan I always recommend to set a timer so you do not forget. Hands can be rinsed off earlier and we will discuss this in detail in your consultation.
- When rinsing your tan, please only use luke warm water and no soap/body wash on your first rinse. Please also make sure ALL the bronzer has been removed in the shower. If it hasn't and you have any remaining please get back in the shower and rinse again.
- When you get out of the shower PAT dry, do not rub, you will rub the skin and the tan will come off. This goes for the duration of your spray tan or you will effectively be exfoliating your tan off.
- If you are having the express tan, I recommend moisturising after 12hrs, if you have had the original 8hr tan then please moisturise after your shower.
- To make sure you get the most from your tan please do make sure you are moisturising daily, twice a day to keep your skin hydrated. Drinking plenty of water will also help with keeping your tan for longer.
- Please do avoid long showers/baths and make sure your showers are luke warm.
- Avoid swimming/hot tubs as the chlorine will dry your skin causing your tan to fade quicker. If you are going om holiday we can discuss your holiday aftercare in detail.
- Please do not use any products with oils in or any harsh ingredients. Avoid Dove and Aveeno products.
What products to use to keep your tan looking amazing?
- Moisturiser - Vaseline Coco Radiant or Garnier 7 day intense
- Shower Gel - Sanex Zero/Simple
- Gradual tan (for top ups) - Garnier Summer Body or Sienna X Gradual Tan including Rose Mist Spray for face etc.
- Suncream/Aftersun - Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration range or Sunbum
All these things mentioned above are in place so that you get the most from your tan. Good aftercare will ensure a beautiful, even fade. If you are unsure of anything please do contact me.
