To speed up recovery and maximize the results of your treatment, it is essential to follow the recommended post-treatment care for the various modalities used. Your skin has undergone a specialized process that stimulates collagen and elastin production, renews dull and damaged skin, and promotes healthy new skin. Due to the nature of these treatments, your skin may be extra sensitive for a few days. Please adhere to the following aftercare instructions: • Protect Your Skin from the Sun: Your skin is more vulnerable to sun damage after treatments. Always use an SPF factor of 50. • Avoid Harsh Cleansers and Soaps: These can strip the skin of its natural oils, causing irritation and dryness. Opt for a gentle cleanser suitable for sensitive skin. • Use Room Temperature or Cool Water: Hot water can irritate new skin and cause unnecessary peeling or flaking. • Avoid Makeup for at Least 6 Hours: If necessary, use only mineral makeup. • Follow Customized Aftercare Instructions: Use the recommended products, including hydrating serums, antioxidants, and healing creams, to achieve maximum results. • Avoid Excessive Heat for 2-3 Days: Intense exercise, saunas, and sweating can lead to irritation. • Do Not Use Retinol Products: Retinol speeds up cell turnover. Avoid it until your skin has fully recovered. • Avoid Other Clinical Treatments for 1-4 Weeks: This includes microneedling, laser treatments, waxing, and dermabrasion. • Avoid Swimming for 1 Week: Chlorinated water can irritate sensitive skin. Common Side Effects In the first few hours after your treatment, it is common to experience slight redness and tenderness. These side effects should subside within a week, although full recovery could take up to two weeks. If any side effects are excessive, please consult your practitioner immediately. Additional Modality-Specific Aftercare Tips: • Microdermabrasion: Maintain hydration and avoid direct sun exposure to protect the renewed skin. • Microcurrent: Keep the skin hydrated and avoid intense physical activity that causes sweating. • High Frequency: Avoid applying heavy products that can clog pores and ensure proper hydration. • Microneedling: Avoid sun exposure, keep the skin moisturized, and use products that support healing and reduce inflammation. • LED Therapy: Continue using hydrating and calming products to support skin recovery.
