A patch test is done before treatments like brow tinting, lash tinting, or lash extensions to make sure you're not allergic to the products. Why it's important: Protects your skin and eyes – the area around your eyes is very sensitive. Checks for allergies – some products can cause itching, redness, or swelling. Keeps you safe – even if you’ve had it done before, you could still react to something new. It's required by salons – most places ask for a patch test 24–48 hours before treatment. How it works: A small amount of the product is put on your skin (usually behind your ear or on your arm). Wait 24–48 hours. If there's no reaction, it’s safe to go ahead.
