Aftercare advice massage

1. Hydrate well: • Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage and reduce soreness. 2. Take it easy: • Avoid intense physical activity for the rest of the day — let your body fully relax and recover. 3. Eat lightly: • A light, healthy meal after a massage can help your body rebalance, especially after deep tissue work. 4. Rest if needed: • You might feel sleepy or even emotional; that’s normal. Give yourself permission to rest. 5. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: • They can dehydrate you and counteract the detoxifying effect of the massage. 6. Warm baths or showers: • A warm (not hot) bath with Epsom salts can help ease any residual muscle tension. 7. Listen to your body: • Mild soreness is normal, especially after deep tissue massages. If you feel pain or discomfort that doesn’t improve, check in with your therapist.
