LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE

Aftercare is arguably the most important stage of the micropigmentation process. It is very important to follow this aftercare guidance as this can affect the appearance and longevity of your Lip brush tattoo. A & D ointment is my chosen product to use. It is healing, soohing and yields brilliant results. Please do not apply anything but the recommended ointment onto the lip area as this can cause infection and affect the healed results. Always wash your hands before and after application and use a clean cotton bud each time to avoid infection. DAY 1-It is very important to remove lymph fluid from the surface of the skin to avoid heavy scabbing. Right after the procedure and every 30 minutes on the first day please clean the area with a damp cotton pad. Before you go to sleep, clean the lips with lukewarm water and apply a THIN layer of ointment. Sometimes the lips can bruise even after the procedure, do not worry, the bruising will go away within a couple hours after the procedure. DAY 2 - The lips may be swollen the second day as well Please do not ice the lip's and keep the skin moist at all times, do not let the lips dry out. DAY 3- Keep applying the oiintment as needed, this means as soon as the lips start feling dry apply the Oiintment. During Day 1 to Day 7 or even longer (until the scabs are gone) AVOID - Getting the area wet, no makeup, no excessive sweating, no sauna, no swimming pools, no sunbathing of sunbeds. DO NOT PICK the scabs at all. (you may cause scaring if otherwise). Do not apply anything besides the ointment such as vaseline, antibiotic creams, neosporin etc. Bepanthen can be used as a substitute During the 4 weeks after the procedure it is best to not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin.
