Effective Date: 1st May 2025 Welcome to Glowee. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking or receiving any services at our salon. By booking an appointment or receiving services at Glowee, you agree to abide by these terms. 1. General Information 1.1 These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Glowee, including but not limited to facials and spray tanning services. 1.2 Glowee reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and/or displayed in the salon. Continued use of our services after changes are made signifies your acceptance of the revised terms. 2. Appointments 2.1 Booking: Appointments can be made via phone, WhatsApp, email, online booking system, or via Instagram. 2.2 Cancellation Policy: If you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours in advance, you will not be charged. If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to show up for your appointment without the required 48 hours' notice, a 50% fee may be taken from your stored card. 2.3 Late Arrivals: If you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment time may be shortened to ensure we can stay on schedule for subsequent clients. 3. Facial Treatments 3.1 Consultation: A brief consultation will be conducted before any facial treatment to assess your skin type, any allergies, sensitivities, or conditions that may affect your treatment. 3.2 Post-Treatment Care: After your facial, avoid direct sun exposure and refrain from using harsh skincare products for at least 24 hours. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided after each treatment. 3.3 Skin Reactions: While all of our facials are designed to be safe, some clients may experience mild redness, tingling, or dryness after their facial. If you experience any severe irritation or discomfort, please contact us immediately. 4. Spray Tanning Services 4.1 Pre-Tanning Preparation: For the best results, exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your spray tan and avoid applying moisturizers, deodorants, or makeup on the day of your treatment. Shaving should be done at least 24 hours prior to your appointment to allow your pores to close, ensuring a smoother, more even tan. 4.2 Post-Tanning Care: After your spray tan, avoid getting your skin wet for at least 8-10 hours (or 4 hours for an express tan). It is important to follow all aftercare instructions to maintain your tan, including moisturizing regularly and avoiding harsh scrubbing. 4.3 Skin Reactions: Most people can safely undergo spray tanning. However, some individuals may experience minor irritation. We recommend patch testing 24 hours before your first spray tan if you have not had a spray tan before. Please contact us to schedule a time to drop in for the patch test. 5. Health and Safety 5.1 Medical Conditions: Clients must inform Glowee of any medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before receiving any services. This includes, but is not limited to, skin conditions, respiratory issues, and pregnancy. 5.2 Pregnancy: If you are pregnant, please consult with your GP before booking any facial or spray tanning treatments. 5.3 Age Restrictions: All clients must be at least 16 years of age to receive treatments. Parental consent is required for clients under 18 years of age. 5.4 Salon Environment: To ensure a safe and pleasant environment, we ask clients to respect the comfort and privacy of others. Please turn off your mobile phone during your visit and refrain from disturbing other clients. 6. Payments 6.1 Pricing: All prices are clearly stated in our salon menu, website, and/or booking system. Prices may vary based on the type of service, and additional charges may apply for special treatments or add-ons. 6.2 Payment Methods: We accept payments via Stripe, cash, and card payments. 6.3 Gratuities: Tipping is appreciated but not required. Gratuities are at the discretion of the client. 7. Liability 7.1 Client Responsibility: Clients are responsible for informing the salon of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect the treatment. Glowee is not liable for any adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed conditions. 7.2 Damage to Personal Property: Glowee is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings while on the premises. 7.3 Limit of Liability: In no event shall Glowee be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. 8. Privacy and Data Protection 8.1 Personal Data: We take your privacy seriously. Any personal data collected during your visit is for the purpose of booking appointments, providing services, and enhancing your experience with us. We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR regulations. 8.2 Photography: Glowee may take before-and-after photos of your treatments for client records. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform us at the time of your appointment. We may also, from time to time, use photos for marketing purposes, but this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. 9. Governing Law These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts. 10. Right of Refusal 10.1 Glowee reserves the right to refuse service to any client who is deemed to be inappropriate, abusive, or disruptive. We also reserve the right to refuse service if a client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs or in any other situation where continuing the service may cause harm or discomfort to the client or our staff. 10.2 Glowee has the right to refuse service to clients who fail to disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies, or any other information that could affect the safety or effectiveness of treatments. By booking and receiving treatments at Glowee, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
