Looking after your hair at home is just as important as the service you receive in the salon. Following the correct aftercare will help maintain the health of your hair.
Washing & Products
- Avoid washing your hair for 24–48 hours after colouring or chemical services to allow the hair cuticle to fully close.
- Always use professional, salon-recommended products suited to your hair type and service.
- For coloured hair, use sulphate-free shampoos to prevent fading.
- Wash with lukewarm water rather than hot to protect colour and moisture levels.
Heat Styling
- Always apply a heat protection product before blow-drying or using hot tools.
- Try to keep heat styling to a minimum and avoid excessively high temperatures.
Colour Care
- Limit exposure to direct sunlight, swimming pools, and salt water, as these can affect colour longevity.
- If swimming, wet hair first and apply a leave-in conditioner for protection.
- Purple or toning products should be used only as advised to avoid over-toning/dulling of colour.
Conditioning & Treatments
- Use a deep conditioning mask once a week to maintain strength and hydration.
- For blondes or chemically treated hair, bond-repair treatments are highly recommended.
- Regular trims help prevent split ends and keep hair looking fresh.
Styling & Daily Care
- Avoid tight hairstyles that cause tension and breakage.
- Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and frizz.
- Brush gently, starting from the ends and working upwards.
