Wellness Injections B12

Aftercare for Vitamin B12 Injections: After receiving a Vitamin B12 injection, most people experience little to no side effects, but it’s important to follow some simple aftercare steps to ensure the best results. Immediately After Your Injection: • You can resume normal activities right away. There is no downtime needed. • You may experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site—this is normal and should subside within a few hours. • If there is slight soreness, you can apply a cold compress to the area to reduce discomfort. What to Avoid; • Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the injection site for a few hours to prevent irritation. • Refrain from strenuous exercise or activities that involve excessive arm movement (if injected in the arm) for the rest of the day. • Wait at least 24 hours before consuming alcohol, as it may interfere with absorption and hydration. Possible Side Effects: While Vitamin B12 injections are generally very safe, some people may experience: • A slight boost in energy or mild restlessness for a few hours after the injection. • Temporary flushing or warmth in the face. • Mild dizziness or nausea, which usually passes quickly. Serious reactions are extremely rare. However, if you experience severe swelling, itching, difficulty breathing, or any signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical attention immediately. Maximising the Benefits: • Stay hydrated to help your body absorb and utilize the B12 efficiently. • Maintain a balanced diet rich in B12-containing foods (such as fish, dairy, eggs, and fortified cereals) to support long-term levels. • If receiving regular injections, stick to your scheduled appointments for consistent benefits. If you have any concerns or unusual symptoms after your injection, don’t hesitate to reach out to your healthcare provider.

Dermaplane

Dermaplaning Aftercare: The following aftercare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, to improve your comfort/healing and to help achieve the best possible results from treatment. Please follow the aftercare advice for dermaplaning. • The treated area of skin may feel slightly tender and appear red and swollen afterwards. You may occasionally experience skin peeling and appearances may be similar to mild sunburn. These effects will resolve naturally and should be much improved after 48 hours but may take longer to settle. You may experience some minor bruising which may take 1-2 weeks to resolve in some cases. • Avoid any perfumes, fake tan or other harsh chemicals for 72 hours after treatment. • Avoid any makeup for 24 hours after treatment as this can increase the risk of infection. • Avoid rubbing or picking the treated area. • Avoid any skin exfoliation for 72 hours following treatment. • It is important to use a regular moisturising cream around two to three times a day on the treated area. Use more regularly if you feel the skin dry or peeling. • Avoid any products that contain alpha hydroxy acids, retinol, and glycolic acid for at least 7 days after treatment. • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, sunbeds and exposure to heat for 72 hours after treatments. These can cause sweating which can irritate the delicate skin and slow down your ability to heal quickly. • Avoid swimming for 72 hours after treatment. • Avoid any excess alcohol or caffeine for 48 hours after treatment. • Wear SPF 30 or greater sunscreen for at least 2 weeks following treatment as your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight afterwards. • Avoid any further cosmetic treatments e.g. Botox or dermal filler for 2 weeks following treatment, or ask your practitioner for advice. • Avoid any hair removal treatments such as waxing for 2 weeks after treatment or until the initial redness and swelling has resolved. You must seek medical attention and contact your practitioner if you experience any signs or symptoms of infection after treatment. Infection can present as hot, red shiny skin, there may be pus formation and you may have a fever or feel generally unwell. • You must contact your practitioner as soon as possible if you notice any other unwanted side effects. • Your practitioner will advise when further treatment appointments are required. If you are advised to attend a follow up appointment, please do make every effort to attend them. You should do this even if you believe that the recovery process is going well and you cannot see that there are any visible complications. It is essential that you have read all of the information available. Once you have read and understood all of the below, please sign the declaration at the bottom of this form. Please do let your practitioner know if you have any questions or if you do not understand any of the aftercare instructions provided below. Polynucleotides

Polynucleotide Aftercare: The following aftercare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, improve your comfort/healing, and help achieve the best possible results from treatment. • Avoid Touching the Injection Area: For the first few hours after the injection, it's important not to touch or massage the treated area. This can help prevent any unwanted movement of the polynucleotide. • Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous activities and exercises for at least 24 to 48 hours post-injection. This allows the injection site to heal and minimises the risk of bruising or swelling. • Keep the Area Clean: To reduce the risk of infection, keep the injection site clean. Avoid submerging the area in water for at least 24 hours. • Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners: Alcohol and certain medications like aspirin can increase the risk of bruising. It's best to avoid these for a few days before and after the treatment. • Apply Cold Compress: If you notice swelling or feel discomfort, applying a cold compress can help reduce these symptoms. However, always wrap the cold compress in a cloth to prevent frostbite. • Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water helps the body process and metabolise the polynucleotide injection. This can lead to better results and quicker recovery. • Monitor for Adverse Reactions: While rare, some individuals might experience allergic reactions or other adverse effects from the injection. Symptoms like excessive swelling, prolonged redness, itchiness, or signs of infection should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately. • Avoid Sun Exposure: Direct sun exposure can irritate the treated area. Use sunscreen or protective clothing if you'll be out in the sun. • No Heat Treatments: For at least 48 hours post-injection, avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot baths. This ensures the treated area remains undisturbed and heals properly.

Anti-wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle Aftercare: Following your anti-wrinkle treatment, it is important to adhere to the aftercare advice provided to ensure optimal results and minimise any potential complications. • Avoid Touching Treated Area: For at least 8 hours post-treatment, you should avoid touching the treated area. This is to prevent unintentional spreading of the product to nearby muscles which could lead to unwanted effects. • No Heat Exposure: Exposing the treated area to heat can potentially cause the anti-wrinkle to spread to unintended areas. Therefore, it's recommended to avoid activities that produce heat, such as saunas, hot tubs, and intense workouts for at least 48 hours after the treatment. • Avoid Alcohol: Alcohol can increase the blood flow and potentially cause the anti-wrinkle to spread, reducing its effectiveness. It's advised to abstain from alcohol for at least 24 hours post-treatment. • Stay Upright: For 4 hours following your treatment, try to stay in an upright position. This will prevent the anti-wrinkle from moving into unintended areas. • No Pressure: For at least 24 hours after treatment, avoid laying on or applying pressure to the treated area. This can help prevent unwanted spreading of the product. • Avoid Makeup: Makeup can potentially cause an infection or irritate the treated area. For this reason, it's suggested to avoid applying makeup to the treated area for at least 4 hours post-treatment. • Facial Expressions: Performing facial exercises in the treated area for 1 hour after treatment (frowning, raising your eyebrows, smiling) can help the product to work into your muscles. • No Facials or Massages: Avoid facials, facial massages including eyebrow waxing or any other treatments that put pressure on your face for at least two weeks after your anti-wrinkle treatment. • Report Side Effects: While side effects are rare, they can happen. If you experience any unusual side effects such as difficulty swallowing, speaking or breathing, rash, or any other issues, contact your healthcare professional immediately. • Asymmetry in anti-wrinkle can happen due to many factors; • Anatomical Variations, Natural differences in muscle size, strength, or activity between sides of the face. • Variations in facial nerve innervation or muscle positioning. Patient-Specific Factors. • Pre-existing asymmetry due to aging, habits (e.g. sleeping position, facial expressions). • Muscle responsiveness differences between sides. Post-Treatment Factors: • Uneven absorption or migration of the product. Lack of proper follow-up or touch-ups. • Asymmetry is a common but manageable issue in anti-wrinkle treatments. Please let your provider know if you experience asymmetry so they can arrange an assessment and assistance. It is essential that you have read all of the information available. Please do let your practitioner know if you have any questions or if you do not understand any of the aftercare instructions provided. I confirm that I have read and understood all the information on this form and that I have been given the opportunity to ask any questions that have come to mind throughout.
