Aftercare - BROWS

Like any treatment, to get the best results from your new brows aftercare is key Day 1 – Your eyebrows are very sensitive and swollen. They also appear too dark. A few hours after the treatment, boil the kettle, let it cool down (sterile water) and use a damp cotton pad to blot any lymphatic fluid off. Repeat this every 3 hours. This will reduce the amount of scabbing. Day 2 – Gently cleanse your brows with a small amount of sterile water on a cotton pad. Be very gentle and make sure your hands are clean. After cleaning your brows apply a thin layer of ointment (supplied to you). Normal skin: Repeat it 2-3 times a day. Oily skin: do this once a day. Continue this until the scabs have fallen off. Days 5 – 10 – Usually around day 5, the scabbing stage begins. Let the scabs fall off naturally. If you touch them, you risk ruining your brows. On the 14th day, if all scabs have gone you can go back to your everyday routine. You can wash your face normally and apply makeup if required. - Keep your brows dry for 14 days. If your brows get wet, gently blot them dry with a lint free tissue. - It's very important that you do not rub or pick your brows at all during the healing period. - No extreme heat, cold or moisture for 14 days after treatment (this includes; direct sun, sun beds, saunas/steam rooms, swimming pools) - Avoid heavy sweating for the first 7 days after the procedure. - Avoid makeup for 14 days after treatment and any be careful of other creams/ointments you use in your normal skin routine. - Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after procedure. - No facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. - Your brows will look considerably lighter after the scabbing stage however the colour will resurface after 4-6 weeks. - Please note that any alterations cannot be made until after the brows have healed.
