Do you use a needle or gun?
I’m a needle only piercer.
What age do you pierce children’s ear lobes?
The youngest age I pierce is 6 years old.
Age and ID?
If you’re 15 year old or under, you will need your parent or legal guardian at your appointment to give consent.
If you 16/17, you do not need parental consent if you have a valid ID.
18 or older, your an adult.
Please note that all piercings have various age restrictions, please contact me for more info.
I have the right to ask for ID, no matter the age (this also includes children’s piercings). I can only accept valid photo IDs (passports or driving licenses).
Do your prices include jewellery?
Yes, all prices include standard medical grade titanium (6AI-4VEli ASTM:F-136), jewellery can also be upgraded at a small cost.
Can I cancel my appointment?
Yes, please see my T&Cs regarding cancellation or rearranging your booked appointment.
Do you do walk ins?
Yes, but during busy periods bookings take priority over walk ins and you ay have to wait or be turned away. To avoid this I always recommend booking.
Can I book in advance?
Yes, my booking system allows you to book up to 12 months in advance.
Why do I have to put in my card details in when booking?
This secures your appointment but no money is taken. Payment is taken at the end of you appointment via cash or card machine. Please note, if you cancel last minute or do not show up for your appointment, you card will be charged as per my T&Cs.
How long have to been piercing?
I have been piercing for almost 10 years now.
Are you licensed?
Yes. I am licensed, insured and DBS checked. These documents can been shown upon request and my license is on display in the studio as per the legal requirements.
Do you supply aftercare?
Yes. All aftercare is spoken to you at your appointment, you will also be given an information card on how to look after your piercing. Aftercare can also be purchased at your appointment.
Do you offer follow up appointments?
Yes. You are welcome to book a piercing health check appointment with me whenever you want. I also offer jewellery change appointments too. These appointments are charged at £10 plus the cost of any jewellery you may wish to purchase.
Consultations are also available prior to your appointment to discuss piercing options etc, consultations are a few of charge.
Can I so swimming?
Minimum no swimming (of any kind) for at least 2 weeks, ideally 6 weeks if possible.
My piercing will be fully heading in 6 weeks?
No. No piercing will be fully healed in 6 weeks. A piercing is a foreign object in your body and will take your body around 9-12 months to let it fully settle (yes this also includes lobe piercings).
Is piercing “crusties” normal?
Yes, these can be completely normal during the healing process. Any concerns, feel free to contact me or book a piercing health check appointment.
When can I change my jewellery?
After 6 weeks you can change your jewellery but it’s advised to keep something in your piercings at all times for at least a year. Even after the 6 weeks, piercings can still close up very quickly.
Do I need to turn/twist the jewellery?
No, as we have not used a gun you do not need to twist or turn the jewellery. Minimum movement is required for the healing process.
Do you use numbing cream?
No, numbing cream will only numb the surface. As piercings penetrate deeper it means you will still be able to feel it and may actually feel more painful.
