Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal on the market with long term results.
how it works?
Electrolysis is used with a short wave diathermy (heat and current) which is used to localise each individual hair follicle for total destruction of the hair follicle bulb. The current and heat works for dark and lighter hairs. It is still the only proven method to destroy the hair and papilla over a duration of sessions.
Areas that can be treated:
lip and chin and hairs on the face (beards on men also can be treated to create perfect symmetry)
Underarms
Bikini and navel area
Hands/toes/arms/chest/back
Legs (although this is a large area I recommend starting in small areas and work through sections at a time.

hormonal factors
some conditions can cause excess androgens and higher testosterone levels. Due to this it can cause unwanted and excessive hair. because of these hormone it can cause an excess amount of hair growth which can cause people to feel conscious or stressed.
There are so many hair removals available on the market, such as laser, which puts the hair into a resting phase. (Telogen) this doesn’t destruct the hair, it causes it to slow down for a period of time. People who suffer from conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, menopause, congenital adrenal hyperplasia Or hormonal therapies, this is not as effective. Having the option of electrolysis will reduce the hair and destruct the follicle.
Although treatment can take time and dedication to staying in a routine. The results will speak for themselves.
If you are someone who plucks regularly I would recommend booking initially weekly or every 2 weeks to prevent disrupting the treatment. once started you have to refrain from using any plucking and removal methods. this is to ensure we can get the hairs in to the anagen stage (where the hair is most active to ensure destruction of the bulb)
I am extremely passionate about this because I suffer with hormonal conditions myself. I started purely to treat my own condition and wanted to help others. with excess hair growth on my chin it really affected my confidence and for this I want to help so many people to regain confidence.
If you have a diagnosed medical condition please share this information with me as you will have discounted treatments as you will need them more often initially.
electrolysis is suitable for most hair and skin types. Unlike laser it can target dark and light hairs.
a consultation is important to ensure your safety on conditions due to a micro current being used. Although this stays localised to the area being treated it’s important to let me know of any changes to medical history before or during treatments.
Each client may vary however this treatment is very low on downtime. Erythema may be present straight after treatment (redness to skin) some clients may welt initially if very sensitive.
avoid after electrolysis
- hot showers/baths/steam rooms/hot tubs/chlorinated swimming pools for 24 hours.
- avoid touching the area for 24 hours to prevent infection and irritation.
- no perfumed products on the area for 24 hours.
- no waxing/plucking/tweezing once initial treatments have started.
- no sunbathing for 24 hours.
The answer is - No
lidocaine works but restricting blood vessels to prevent the nerves feeling pain.
electrolysis works to destruct the follicle at the blood supply. this would affect the treatment effectiveness.
the treatment pain is so minimal and over before you can register something has happened. if you are nervous please only take paracetamol and no ibuprofen.
Electrolysis can be noticeable even after just 2 treatments. Factors all depend on each person, hormones can play a huge role in this.
A consultation is required to be able to understand your shaving/plucking routines to be able to advise a plan.
Excess hair growth conditions such as PCOS/menopause, I would recommend more frequent sessions initially weekly or every two weeks.
usually a minimum of 6 sessions are needed on areas as the hairs is destroyed only when during the anagen (growth) phase. Each hair follicle is at a different stage so during each session I try to get as many hairs as I can within the time.
No plucking/waxing/epilating is allowed during the treatment process as it will affect the growth stage of the hair.
You can clipper or trim hair but it needs to have at least 5 days growth before the next electrolysis appointment. No plucking or tweezing this includes depilatory creams.
