Lash Extensions Aftercare

For optimum retention please follow the following aftercare advice. Do not get your lashes wet or allow heat around them for 24hrs. This includes showers, saunas, steam rooms, and working out. Avoid the use of oil-based products as this may loosen the bond causing the lashes to come off quicker. Do not pull or rub your extensions; this can cause your natural lashes to fall out prematurely, and can cause both breakage and permanent damage to the hair follicle. If you’re prone to watery/crusty eyes, your lashes may need regular cleaning with a lash shampoo. Lash shampoo can be purchased from Lashes by Divina with instruction on how to use. Do not brush lashes while they’re wet as water adds extra weight to the hair. When brushing wet lashes you might prematurely pull them out. Try not to sleep with your face directly in the pillow. Please note that whichever side you sleep more on, you might experience more lash loss. Do not worry when you lose some lash extensions, as each extension will fall out with a natural lash that it is attached to, due to a natural lash growth cycle. We have on average 95 lashes per upper eye - It is completely normal to lose up to 5 lashes per eye per day. Do not perm or tint your lashes as this may influence the retention and the lash extensions may fall off much quicker. Do not use eyelash curlers as they will break the glue bond and can cause damage to the lashes. Do not use mascara or liquid liner as these products are difficult to fully remove from lash roots. Schedule regular infills 2-4 weeks to clean, tidy, fill & maintain the fresh look of your lash set.
