Aftercare Advice
You may feel sticky or tacky for around 15-20mins after your tan, this is normal. Straight after you’ve been sprayed you will need to marinate for the time agreed with yout therapist. Usually overnight, but if using express you will have been advised a rinse time. You cannot come into contact with any water, no washing up, dishwashing, bathing kids etc. You need to take care of your guide colour for now. You cannot touch your body/skin. It’s very tempting to check with your hands if you are dry, but DON’T do it, you will get tanned palms!! You will need to wear dark long trousers and long sleeves and loose fitting clothing while you marinate. Nothing with cuffs or nothing tight, and no bra if possible. Please do not mix any other product with your skin for the next 8-10hours while your tan fully develops! (body lotion, shower gel, face cream etc) After the development time, rinse only with warm water NO SOAP. Make sure you wash all the guide colour off, until the water runs clear in the shower. Now your tan is fully developed, it’s business as usual. Hydrate, drink plenty of water to keep your skin nourished. Moisturise DAILY. Quick showers and no baths to keep your tan looking fresh. You can consider using a tan extender cream on day 5-7 of your spray tan to bring it back to life if needed.
