Please note: slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. You can apply antiseptic cream, aloe vera gel and/or ice to the treated area following your treatment to help alleviate these. Always wash your hands before applying any product. Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours: • No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only). • No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments. • No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans). • No sport, gym work or other exercise. • Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands. • Wear clean, loose fitting clothes. • Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools. • Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotion, perfumed products or other products to the treated area for 24 hours. • After 24 Hours it is vital that you use a good quality moisturiser. • For long term improvements, book-in for regular treatments (every 4-6 weeks). You may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. Hair needs to be at least 5mm long before it can be successfully removed by waxing so do not shave between treatments. • For in-growing hairs use an exfoliator.
During 24 hours after a lash lift and tint, DO NOT: Get your lashes wet or expose them to steam, moisture or sweat. Sleep directly on your face. Apply makeup to your lashes. Expose your lashes to heat or a tanning bed. Directly apply any kind of lash serum or product to your lash line that contains oil. TIP: After the 24-hour period, a lash serum can be applied to your lash line.
drinking plenty of water to aid muscle recovery and help flush out toxins, avoiding alcohol and caffeine for at least 12-24 hours to prevent dehydration and counteracting relaxation, and getting adequate rest to allow your body to process the treatment's effects. Soreness after a massage, particularly deep tissue is normal and similar to delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) from exercise, lasting up to 48 hours.
What to Avoid: * Active ingredients: Do not use products with active ingredients like retinoids (Retin-A, retinol), vitamin C, AHAs, or BHAs for at least a week. * Makeup: Avoid wearing makeup for 24-48 hours, or longer if your skin feels irritated. * Sun and heat: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid hot baths, saunas, jacuzzis, and steam rooms for at least 3-7 days. * Intense activities: Avoid vigorous exercise and activities that cause excessive sweating for at least 24-72 hours. * Touching your face: Do not touch or pick at your skin to prevent infection and irritation. * Exfoliants: Avoid exfoliants, scrubs, and harsh toners for at least a week. What are the side effects? Immediately after treatment your skin may feel warm and look red, similar to sunburn. The redness should improve 1- 2 days post treatment. The treated area may be painful or feel tight for 1-3 days following the treatment. You may have some pinpoint bleeding at time of treatment but should not require a dressing.
12 hours after: Avoid heavy makeup (you can use mineral makeup as it doesn’t block the skin) For 24 hours: No swimming, facial waxing or fake tan application Up to 48 Hours after: No sauna, sun beds or sun exposure. For 72 Hours: Do not use AHA’s, glycolics, retinol or exfoliating products. At all times, apply SPF 30 (at least) and avoid UV exposure. Regular moisturiser applications are vital to replenish the skin and prevent it becoming dry and peeling.
Steam & Extractions- To support healing and maintain clear skin after your facial: Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturiser Apply SPF 30+ daily to protect freshly exfoliated skin Do not pick or touch the skin post-extractions Avoid steam rooms, saunas and workouts for 24–48 hours Avoid AHAs, BHAs or retinol for 3–5 days Stay hydrated and follow a balanced skincare routine Relax facial- Drink plenty of water for the rest of the day. Avoid make-up and harsh products for 24 hours. Avoid swimming, saunas, steam treatments or any other facial treatments for 24 hours. Avoid touching/rubbing the face. Allow time to relax, avoiding stressful activities for 24 hours. Cleanse, tone and moisturize according to skin type at home daily. Exfoliate the skin 1-2 times a week. Wear SPF daily. Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours. No hair removal or exfoliating products for 72 hours.
