About
I’m Danni, a Reiki Therapist and Yoga Teacher based in Brighton & Hove and the person behind The Slow Space.
The Slow Space is an invitation to step away from the noise and pace of everyday life and reconnect with something quieter. Through reiki, yin & gentle yoga, meditation and breath, I offer calm, supportive experiences that bring you back into the body, giving you time to rest, listen and notice what’s there.
I’m interested in the quiet intelligence of the body and what we notice when we stop trying to think our way through. Sometimes that might mean releasing physical tension, sometimes it's allowing an emotion to be felt, or simply pressing pause on the noise of the world.
My approach is intuitive and grounded, and each session is uniquely yours.
Nothing to fix. Nothing to force. Just creating space to come home to yourself and give your body full permission to exhale.
Slow Sessions & Offerings

Reiki, to me, feels like pressing pause on the noise of the world and giving your body full permission to exhale.
Reiki is a gentle practice that works with the natural life-force energy flowing through all living things. Using light, intentional touch - or hands resting just above the body - this subtle, intelligent energy is invited to move where it is needed, working gently to restore harmony deep within.
As the body settles, you’re invited to slow down, switch off and settle into deep rest.
Each session is intuitive and uniquely yours, creating time to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with yourself.
There’s nothing to fix and nothing to force. Just an hour to slow down and come home to yourself.

Yin Yoga forms the heart of this slow, restful practice. Yin invites us into long-held, floor-based poses and a deeper relationship with the body. By holding poses for a little longer, we have time to become curious about what we feel, notice where we might be holding tension and listen to what the body is telling us.
From there, meditation and breath help us move out of the noise of the head and back into the body, while Reiki is woven into the session to support the natural flow and rebalancing of energy.
Together, these practices invite us to slow down and come home to ourselves - to become still enough to notice what is present, allow it to be felt and give it room to move through, without needing to fix or force anything.
Each session is guided intuitively, meeting you where you are on the day. There is nothing you need to achieve or get right. Just time to listen, feel and be.

Three 60-minute Reiki sessions to be experienced over three months, offering the time and continuity to slow down, reconnect and explore what unfolds when you return to the practice over time.
Reiki, to me, feels like pressing pause on the noise of the world and giving your body full permission to exhale. It is a gentle practice that works with the natural life-force energy flowing through all living things.
With light, intentional touch - or hands resting just above the body- this subtle, intelligent energy is invited to move where it is needed, working gently to restore harmony deep within.
Each session is intuitive and uniquely yours, meeting you where you are at that moment. The space between sessions gives you time to notice what has shifted, what you’re carrying and what might be asking for your attention, before returning for another opportunity to pause, listen and rest.
The three sessions offer the opportunity to let the experience unfold naturally over time, allowing each session to settle and integrate before you return for the next, with space to see what is ready to emerge.

I believe Reiki and restorative practices should be accessible to those who may need a little additional support. If the standard session fee feels difficult for you at the moment, you’re welcome to choose the concession rate if it feels right for you.
This option is offered in a spirit of trust, compassion and community, while also helping me to sustain my practice. If you’re able to pay the standard session fee, your booking helps me continue to offer flexible pricing for others who may need it.

A slow practice that invites us into long-held, floor-based poses to help develop a deeper relationship with the body.
By staying in each pose for a little longer, there is time to notice what you feel, become aware of where you might be holding tension and listen to what your body is telling you.
In this 1:1 session, the practice is guided intuitively, responding to you and how you’re feeling on the day. I’ll offer guidance, adjustments, variations and support, helping you explore each pose and find what feels right for your body.
There is time to pause and notice what comes up, physically or emotionally, without needing to change or fix it. The intention is to create the conditions to slow down, become more present in your body and allow whatever is there to be felt.
Whether you’re new to Yin, looking to explore your practice more deeply or simply want some dedicated time to listen to your body, you’ll have the freedom to move at your own pace and receive individual attention throughout.
This is a practice shaped around you, with time to listen, feel and explore.

A slow, shared practice for two, offering the chance to step away from the noise of everyday life and spend some intentional time together.
Yin invites us into long-held, floor-based poses and a deeper relationship with the body. By staying in each pose for a little longer, there is time to notice what you feel, become aware of where you might be holding tension and listen to what your body is telling you.
In this session, I’ll guide you both through the practice, offering individual guidance, adjustments and variations so that you can each find what feels right for your body. There is no expectation to move in the same way or at the same pace - the practice can meet you both where you are.
There is time to pause and notice what comes up, physically or emotionally, without needing to change or fix it. The intention is simply to slow down and become more present.
Whether you're new to Yin or already have a practice, this is a chance to put everything else aside for a while and reconnect.
A shared practice with time to slow down, listen, feel and reconnect.

As the days grow shorter and the world begins to slow, an invitation to follow its lead.
A gentle combination of supported Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, a guided practice of deep rest. Time to turn inwards, soften and settle, with nothing to achieve and nowhere else you need to be.
And because rest can be lovely shared, you're invited to bring a friend along as my guest.
A seasonal experience, available until the end of November. One booking includes both people.
Want To Know More About Reiki & Energy Healing?
Reiki healing is for anyone seeking a moment of pause, rest, and reconnection in the midst of everyday life.
You don’t need to be familiar with energy healing to benefit - just open to slowing down and receiving.
Many people come for Reiki when they are feeling:
- Stressed, overwhelmed, or burnt out
- Anxious, emotionally heavy, or out of balance
- Disconnected from their body or searching for an inner sense of calm
- In need of rest, clarity, or gentle support through change
Reiki therapy can support you in softening tension, regulating your nervous system, and creating space to process and restore. Each session meets you exactly where you are, offering a quiet, supportive environment to return to yourself.
Whether you’re completely new to Reiki or returning to your practice, sessions are a chance to slow down, reset, and reconnect with your natural rhythm.
Each Reiki session is a gentle, intuitive experience designed to support deep rest and balance.
When you arrive, we’ll begin with a short check-in to explore how you’re feeling and answer any questions you might have. You’ll then be invited to lie down and get comfortable on the treatment bed.
Reiki is offered through light, intentional touch, or with hands resting just above the body. The experience is often deeply calming - many people drift into a meditative or sleep-like state as the body begins to soften and unwind.
During your Reiki healing session, you may notice sensations such as warmth, tingling, or a sense of energy moving, though each experience is unique. There’s nothing you need to do - simply rest and receive.
Sessions are tailored to you, supporting the release of tension, regulation of the nervous system, and a return to your natural rhythm.
Afterwards, we’ll take a few moments to gently ground before you continue with your day, often with a greater sense of clarity, calm, and connection.

I met with Danni initially for some reiki which I had not tried before. when I got to my appointment Danni took the time to explain everything to me and she went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Danni checked in with me via email a few days later and when I explained I had been having a difficult time she suggested we book in a Yin yoga session and some more reiki (I didn’t feel pressured at all to book and was glad of the suggestion) I found the second session helpful again, Danni is very calm and welcoming and I’m really pleased I booked with her ☺️
