MICROBLADING AFTERCARE
Absorb, Wash, Moisturise!
THE DAY OF TREATMENT: ABSORB
Wipe over brows every 2/3 hours with cooled boiled water and cotton pad (make sure cotton pad is only slightly damp). This removes the lymph fluid which will help prevent hardening of the lymph and reduce scabbing. Before bed wipe with cooled boiled water and apply a rice grain size of healing ointment to each brow.
DAYS 1 - 7: WASH
Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. (Don’t worry… THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT)
Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night with cooled boiled water, using a different cottonpad for each eye. If you have makeup on and need to cleanse more thoroughly, you can use a mild solution eg:Johnson’s baby shampoo. Eyebrows should be gently wiped with a very light fingertip touch, in a smooth motion, for 10 seconds and then rinsed with water to ensure that all product is fully removed. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. Do not use cleansing products containing acids(glycolic, lactic or AHA) or any exfoliants.
DAYS 1 - 7: MOISTURISE
Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton bud and spread it across the treatedarea. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
use spf lip balm over brows every day, reapply more frequently in hot climates and when in the hot sun.
SEMI-PERMANENT LIP AFTERCARE
•Some residual swelling is normal for ALL procedures.
The area may appear uneven, dry, itchy, tender, red & irritated. This is all 100% normal.
DO NOT PICK
The lips heal and shed in layers revealing the colour underneath almost like a mild sunburn.
This can take 4-5 days but can sometimes take up to 10 days. Everyone is different.
•Colour WILL fade/soften anywhere FROM 30 to 50% or more.
at the touch up we will fine tune any area that has faded too much (1 retouch only, additional retouches will be chargeable).
You can expect to see some swelling straight after treatment this will go down in about 48 hours.
You can take ibuprofen and antihistamine tablets if you wish at your own discretion to help with this. (NOT 48hrs before treatment only AFTER as will cause excess bleeding)
•Please purchase some straws to drink through.
any hot and cold drinks must be consumed through a straw to prevent infection and staining.
•Avoid spicy foods and cut food into small pieces.
Avoid strong coloured food to prevent staining until the lips have healed.
NO SUN 30 DAYS AFTER TREATMENT AND SUNSCREEN IS ADVISED TO STOP FADING IN THE SUN.
use spf lip balm daily over lips, use more frequent when in the hot sun.

Stay Active
Light exercise such as walking, stretching, or gentle cardio for 20–30 minutes after treatment helps stimulate circulation and fat metabolism. Avoid intense workouts for 24 hours if your skin feels tender.
