Gel & Acrygel Aftercare

To keep your nails looking fresh and lasting as long as possible, proper aftercare is essential.

A little care at home will make a big difference to the longevity of your set.

The First 48 Hours Matter Most

Your nails are strong, but they are still settling in the first 24–48 hours after your appointment.

During this time:

  • Avoid pressure or knocks
  • Be mindful when using your hands
  • Treat your nails with extra care

Limit Water Exposure

Excessive water can weaken the bond and lead to lifting.

  • Avoid long baths, hot tubs, and swimming where possible
  • Try not to soak your nails, especially within the first 24 hours
  • Dry your hands thoroughly after getting them wet

Avoid Harsh Chemicals

Everyday products can affect the durability and shine of your nails.

  • Always wear gloves when cleaning or washing up
  • Avoid direct contact with strong cleaning products
  • Rinse hands after exposure to chemicals or chlorine

Be Mindful How You Use Your Nails

Your nails are durable, but they are not tools.

  • Avoid using them to open, pick, scrape, or lift objects
  • Tasks like opening cans, removing stickers, or scratching surfaces can cause stress and lead to breakage
  • Treat your nails with care to keep them looking their best

Do Not Pick, Bite or Peel

Removing product yourself can cause damage to your natural nails.

  • Avoid picking, biting, or peeling your nails
  • This can remove layers of your natural nail, leaving them weak and sensitive
  • Always return for professional removal

Avoid Filing Between Appointments

Filing or cutting your nails yourself can disrupt the structure.

  • This may lead to lifting or breakage
  • If something feels uneven or lifted, please get in touch
  • Do not attempt to glue lifted nails back down

Cuticle Oil is Key

Hydration is essential for both your natural nails and enhancements.

  • Apply cuticle oil at least twice daily
  • Focus around the cuticle and underneath the nail
  • Helps maintain flexibility, shine, and overall nail health

Keep Up with Maintenance

Regular appointments are important to keep your nails looking their best.

Recommended every 2–3 weeks

Waiting too long can lead to lifting, imbalance, or breakage

Lifestyle Tip

Your nails reflect your overall hydration.

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Dehydrated nails are more prone to lifting and breakage
