Appointments can be booked via DM, WhatsApp and Solo. Please double check all personal details before submitting them. A valid card must be on file and may be charged for no-shows or late cancellations. (For those without a card on file, a deposit may be required.) Please note that Salon of Salem is a first floor home salon with a small flight of stairs and cats in the house.
Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Shows
Cancellations/Rescheduling up to 48 hours prior to your appointment will have no charge. Changes made to your appointment within 48 hours may incur a 50% service charge. Changes made within 4 hours of your appointment may incur a 100% service charge.
Arrival Time
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time as there is no waiting area. Lateness beyond 10 minutes may result in your appointment being rescheduled or planned nail art being altered. I must respect my other clients booked time.
Infills
Any builder gel, hard gel or polygel sets that are over 4 weeks old must be booked as a new set as they will need rebalancing. Please remember to book your infills or enquire about repeat appointments to avoid extra charges.
Foreign Work
Infilling foreign work (done outside of Salon of Salem) will be done entirely at the discretion of your nail technician. To avoid disappointment, we recommend either booking a removal or arrive with no product on your nails. This includes nail hardeners, clear coats, regular polish, gel polish, builder gels and acrylic. Do not use oils or hand creams the morning of your appointment as this will affect your retention.
Payment
Payment is due at your appointment, I do not do any form of pay later schemes. If you have paid a deposit, this contributes to your final total. A card must be on file or a deposit must be paid either online or at your previous appointment to secure your slot. Card and cash are accepted as forms of payment.
Aftercare
Please ensure you have the correct aftercare routine for your nail/skin type, including maintenance appointments. If you are unsure of aftercare needed, ask your nail technician for advice. Fixes are only free within 72 hours of your initial appointment.
Guests
Please do not bring guests with you. The salon is a small space and there is no room for extra guests. Exceptions can be made for double-bookings and accessibility reasons.
Medical
Please disclose any medical conditions and medications that may impact your service as accommodations can be made within reason.
Unsociable Behaviour
Any behaviour that is deemed unsociable will not be tolerated in the salon. This goes for abusive, threatening, offensive or pestering behaviour. I reserve the right to refuse service and this may result in being blocked from booking in the future. This applies to online and in-person actions.
