After your treatment at SALVAE Skin Clinic, your skin will be in an active state of renewal. Proper aftercare is essential to maximise results, prevent irritation, and support healthy skin recovery.
GENERAL AFTERCARE (ALL TREATMENTS)
- Avoid touching your face unnecessarily for at least 24 hours
- Keep skin clean, calm, and hydrated
- Use gentle, non-active skincare for 48–72 hours
- Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours where possible
- Avoid heat exposure (saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga, sunbeds) for 48 hours
- Avoid direct sun exposure and always apply SPF daily
- Do not pick, exfoliate, or scrub the skin
- Avoid active ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, etc.) for 3–5 days unless advised otherwise
FOR DERMAPLANING / BARE SKIN TREATMENT
- Skin may feel extra smooth and slightly sensitive
- Avoid exfoliation for 3–5 days
- SPF is essential as skin is more photosensitive
- Avoid strong active serums for 48–72 hours
FOR HYDRO GLOSS / EXTRACTIONS
- Mild redness is normal and will settle within 24 hours
- Avoid touching or pressing treated areas
- Keep skincare minimal and hydrating for 48 hours
- Avoid heavy makeup for at least 24 hours
FOR BIOREPEEL / CHEMICAL RESURFACING
- Mild tingling, tightness, or dryness may occur
- Do not pick or peel flaking skin
- Avoid all active skincare for 5–7 days
- Focus on barrier repair (hydration + SPF only)
- No exfoliation until skin is fully settled
FOR MICRO-RENEW (MICRONEEDLING)
- Redness and warmth are expected for 24–48 hours
- Skin may feel tight or slightly dry
- Avoid makeup for 24–48 hours
- No sweating, exercise, or heat exposure for 48 hours
- Avoid active ingredients for 5–7 days
- Use only gentle, hydrating, barrier-repair products
POST-TREATMENT DO’S
✔ Drink plenty of water to support skin healing
✔ Use SPF 30–50 daily (non-negotiable)
✔ Stick to a simple routine: cleanse, hydrate, protect
✔ Allow skin time to regenerate naturally
