Waxing treatments:Avoid the following for 24 hours post treatment:
- Swimming, Saunas, Steam rooms
- Exercise or Strenuous activities
- Tight clothing in the area, applying anything perfumed e.g.(deodorant, make-up etc) to the area waxed.
- Do not scratch or touch the area with unwashed hands.
- Exfoliate the area once per week
- Moisturise the area daily
Nail treatments:- Be especially careful in the first 24 hours after application and avoid intense heat during this period (e.g. saunas, hot bath, or sunbeds).
- Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, to stimulate growth and prevent lifting.
- Always wear rubber gloves when washing up, cleaning or gardening.
- Always wash your hands thoroughly after being in contact with chlorine, insect repellent or sunscreen.
- Always return to salon for maintenance and removal.
- Avoid long periods of time in water (e.g. long baths, swimming, washing up).
- Do not use your nails as tools (e.g. screwdriver) as this could lead to cracking.
- Never pick or peel the product off as this could damage your natural nail.
- Avoid filing your nails and pushing your cuticles back, as this will break the seal of the gel and can lead to chipping.
Facial treatments:Avoid wearing make-up for at least 12 hours after a facial treatment.
• Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face. To prevent loss of moisture, protect the skin from make-up and to keep the skin soft and supple.
• Always remove all traces of make-up at the end of the day.
• Drink plenty of water (we recommend 6-8 glasses per day).
• Eat a healthy, balanced diet – include at least five portions of fruit and vegetables.
• Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a facial.
• Avoid sunbathing for up to 12 hours.
• Avoid direct heat, such as saunas, hot baths, showers or a hot hairdryer.
• Do not apply perfume or perfumed products to treated area within 48 hours of having a facial.
• Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after having a facial.
• Do not apply any other exfoliating skincare products for 72 hours after having a facial.
• Always use an SPF sunscreen to block ultraviolet B rays.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol.
Massage & Body Treatments:- Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours, as massage is a detoxifying treatment
- Drink plenty of water to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body
- Eat a light diet to assist the detoxification and healing process
- Get plenty of rest. You may feel tired after treatment
- Gentle exercise – postural exercises can help with muscle tension as well as exercises that will assist with mobility. Yoga is a suitable and gentle option.
Eyelash Treatments:- Avoid direct heat for 24 hours
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot baths/showers
- Avoid oil based products in the area
- Clean them regularly
- Do not rub or pull extensions
- Do not use eyelash curlers
- Have regular infills.
IPL services:For 48 hours post treatment:
- Avoid all heat treatments including hot baths, saunas, steam baths and hot showers.
- No swimming in strongly chlorinated water.
- Do not use bleaching creams.
- Avoid perfumed products e.g. soaps, creams or perfumes.
- Leave any temporary skin responses such as redness to subside naturally.
- Do not touch, pick scratch or otherwise irritate the treated area.
For 72 hours
For 1 week
- Do not exfoliate the treated area or use peel.
For 2 weeks
- No UV exposure
- No self tan
- Avoid waxing, plucking, threading (at all times during a course)
- Avoid depilation creams
- Avoid prolonged outdoor activity that may expose the skin to a lot of wind or sun.
For 6 weeks
- Use sun protection SPF50+
- Limit sun exposure and do not use tanning beds
