Depending on the size and thickness of the lesion, we may need to repeat the process once your skin has thawed out. To protect the treated area, you can apply Vaseline and pat the area dry with a soft towel or tissue if it gets wet. It's important to avoid picking at scabs to reduce the risk of scarring. If the scab is in a place where it might get rubbed by clothing, you can wear a plaster to protect it
