Maintenance Toenail restoration can last 4-5 weeks. Toenails grow at a reduced rate naturally, adding damaged toes to this can be even slower! so time frames are estimated! Once the toenail has grown out, the product will need to be fully removed. At this point, a new application will be applied, with the option of adding in gel toes if you would like this too! Looking after your new toenails!
Try not to get your nails wet for the first 1–2 days to help the product set properly (keep socks on!).
If you’re a swimmer or sauna user, check your toenail regularly to ensure it’s still secure. Any lifting can trap moisture under the gel, which could cause bacteria to grow underneath. This would need to be removed immediately to prevent “greenies”
Dry Nails Thoroughly After Bathing or ShoweringAfter washing, gently pat your toenails dry. Use a hairdryer on a cool setting if you have one to make sure any remaining moisture is gone.
Don’t Wear Tight Shoes:
Tight shoes can put pressure on your new toenail and may cause it to loosen or lift. Wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes. 6. Avoid Running or Intense Activity: Running or intense activity can be hard on your new toenail, especially if your natural nail came off due to trauma from running. Give your toenail time to settle.
If you are getting a prosthesis as you have no toenail, please note this is a temporary fix and will only last one to two days. They are however fully removable and can be stored and used again! I can make the nail and keep it plain so you can change your own nail polish to match! Always use an acetone free nail varnish when changing this up! Keep socks on for 24 hours post treatment and I would recommend using lash glue, wig tape or spirit gum to keep your toenail secure on!
