Congratulations on your Henna Brow treatment! your brows are looking flawless, and we know you want to keep them that way for as long as possible. that’s why we’ve put together some key tips to help you care for your henna brows and prolong their fresh, beautiful look. 1. Keep the eyebrows dry the first 24-48 hours After your Henna Brow treatment, it’s essential to keep your brows dry for at least 24 hours, and ideally up to 48 hours. This allows the henna to fully absorb into the skin. If your brows get wet too soon, the henna won’t have enough time to bond properly, and the stain will fade faster. Here’s what to avoid in the first few days to keep your brows in top shape: swimming: Pools, the ocean, or even long baths—water is a no-go for the first few days. To keep your henna stain strong and long-lasting, steer clear of swimming until your brows have fully set. shower: When you shower, try to avoid getting your face wet. You can tilt your head or adjust the showerhead to keep your eyebrows dry. And if you love hot showers, keep in mind that the steam can also affect the henna, causing the stain to fade faster. Sauna or steam room: As tempting as it may be, avoid saunas or steam rooms for a few days after your Henna Brow treatment. The heat and moisture can cause the henna to break down, making it fade faster. Intensive sports: High-intensity workouts or hot yoga that make you sweat a lot should be avoided for 24 hours. Sweating can disrupt the henna and cause it to fade prematurely. And you don't want that! 2. Do not use peels or scrubs after the Henna Brow treatment We know it can be tempting, but don’t reach for that scrub or peel after getting Henna Brows! Exfoliating can strip away the henna stain from your skin, making it fade faster and unevenly. If your brows look a little darker than you expected, don’t try to lighten them with a scrub—this can make the stain patchy and leave your brows looking less natural. Just let the henna fade naturally, which usually takes around 2 weeks. Trust us, it’s worth the wait! 3. Be careful with using facial products Henna Brows last longer on dry skin, so using the right facial products is key to getting the most out of your fresh brows. Avoid cleansing products: Cleansers can be a little too good at their job and rub off the henna stain faster. So, when washing your face, either skip the brow area or gently clean around it to keep the colour intact. Watch out for oil-based products: Oil is your Henna Brows' worst enemy! Oil-based products can break down the henna stain quicker, so it’s best to avoid them. Check the ingredients of your skincare products carefully, and if you have naturally oily skin, just know the tint might not last as long. It’s something to keep in mind if you love Henna Brows. 4. Avoid sunbathing for the first 24 hours after Henna Brows This is one of the most important aftercare tips! Avoid sunbathing for at least 24 hours after your Henna Brow treatment, and here’s why. Exposure to the sun can cause the colour of the henna to change, and no one wants that! So, let your brows chill in the shade for a bit!
