As bookings are by appointment only, cancellations without sufficient notice understandably mean spaces cannot be filled. I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation. Cancellations within a 48 hour period will result in 50% of the service cost being payable. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours prior to taking place, 100% of the service cost will be payable. Please note this is non-refundable. Subsequent bookings will not be accepted or fulfilled until the cancellation fees have been paid.
CHANGES TO APPOINTMENTSRescheduling or making changes to an appointment is welcomed, provided that the changes do not fall within the 48 hours prior to an appointment. Changes will not be accepted if made within the 48 hour period, and you will either need to keep your original appointment or be subject to cancellation fees if within the 48 hours.
BOOKING FEESALL appointments require a £10 non-refundable booking fee. The appointment is not secure until this has been paid. Booking fees can be deducted from the overall service cost at the end of the appointment. For example, if you book an appointment that costs £25, you will pay £10 prior to the appointment to secure, and £15 at the appointment. Booking fees are sent to you via a link and must be paid prior to the appointment to secure your booking. If the booking fee is not received within 24 hours, your selected slot will be released back to the system. If you do not adhere to any policy, the original policy will be void and a new booking fee will be required.
PATCH TESTSA patch test is required 48 hours prior to any lash, brow, tint, or wax service. Failure to complete the patch test, or record the result of your patch test with your beautician, will result in 100% of the service cost being payable.
THIRD PARTY WORKIn certain circumstances, I may be able to remove another’s work. This is subject to a consultation, and disclosure of the current product that has been used prior to your service with me. I will not work over infills or continue further treatment on any work done by anyone other than myself. If you attend your appointment with another person’s work without prior consultation, a 100% non-refundable fee will be payable, and your appointment will be cancelled until this has been removed, and the fee paid.
CONSULTATIONAn examination of the beauty area will be carried out at your first appointment, this includes completion of a consultation card. It is your responsibility to make me aware of ANY medical history prior to the consultation. This must be completed no later than 48 hours prior to service. Failure to do so will result in your appointment being cancelled, and you will incur 100% of the service cost being payable. This is non-refundable, and future appointments will be declined until a consultation has taken place.
LATENESSArriving more than 15 minutes late to your appointment will result in immediate cancellation with 100% of the service cost being payable - this is non-refundable. This ensures lateness does not impact other scheduled appointments. Being late will impact the available service at your appointment. If you think you will be late, but not later than 15 minutes, please DM me.
NO SHOWSIf you do not show up for your appointment, you will incur a fee equivalent to 100% of the service cost, future appointments will be declined until this is paid. If you have more than one instance of non-attendance, I reserve the right to charge the full service cost at the point of booking to confirm the appointment.
PAYMENTI accept cash payments with the correct change and card payments via a payment link. Any payment must be completed before you leave your appointment. I do not accept part-payments. Failure to pay will result in future appointments being declined.
REPAIRSIf there is a break of the nail within 72 hours of the appointment taking place, I am happy to fix this free of charge. Any breaks to the nail which occur 72 hours, or more, from the appointment will be chargeable at £5.00 per nail. Please DM me if you have a break with information on the type of break e.g., clean break/split etc.
The general advice given at all appointments for maintenance is an appointment every 2-4 weeks. Any appointment where product has been on for 4+ week will incur an additional cost to cover the product and additional time needed for the service. I advise against 4+ weeks to maintain nail health. Repairs after a two week period will result in a fully charged new set.
NAIL ARTIf you would like nail art, please DM me with your inspiration/screenshots no later than 48 hours prior to your appointment. Each design will vary, and naturally more intricate designs require more time. If you do not send your inspiration 48 hours prior to service, you will be charged for the full appointment at point of payment, regardless of whether you have nail art or a plain set. The appropriate service will be booked in to allow for the correct amount of time. I reserve the right to decline nail art requests that may not be achievable. I want all clients to be happy with their nails and will not attempt art that I may not be able to perfect!
ETIQUETTEAll clients are treated equally and with respect to ensure the highest quality service. As such I respectfully ask that any clients reciprocate the same politeness. Nutmeg is a safe space for all, failure to be courteous and/or rude behaviour will result in termination of all future appointments.
INCLUSIVITYNutmeg is a safe space for all, and any form of discrimination or hate speech will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour will result in you being asked to leave your appointment, and no future appointments will be accepted.
COMPLAINTSConsistent high standards of service are in place for all clients. It is my goal to provide the best service possible. However, if you are unhappy with the service you have received, please let me know whilst you are at your appointment, or at the earliest convenience. Any feedback is always accepted whether positive or negative and will be listened to. Questions about your experience may be asked to better understand the scope of your complaint. Photographs may also be requested to support your complaint, if necessary. Any complaint is aimed to be resolved within 7 days.
SILENT APPOINTMENTSNutmeg is happy to offer silent appointments for all. I would like everyone to feel relaxed whilst their appointment is taking place. Please remember that this is your appointment, and if you would feel more at ease not talking that’s okay!
This applies no matter your circumstances, whether you are anxious or stressed, or looking to unwind or have a pamper away from your everyday life. If you would like a silent appointment, please let me know when you book your appointment. Please feel free to bring your own headphones to listen to your own music/podcasts etc if you would like a silent appointment.
MISCELLANEOUSAll appointments must be booked at least one week in advance to allow for appropriate scheduling. In busy periods you may be prompted at your appointment to book future appointments in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please do not bring a guest to your appointment. Space is limited, and any guests will be asked to wait in their car. If they are unable to wait, the appointment will be cancelled with the full service cost being payable.
There is strictly no toilet access. Requests to use the toilet will not be accepted. Your appointment may be terminated mid-way through if you need to leave, with the full service cost being payable.
It is your responsibility to read through the policies provided. If you book an appointment in for any service, you are accepting the policies outlined.
