Thank you for choosing The Waxing Specialist. Please take a moment to read through the following guidelines to ensure you have the best experience possible. These policies help me to maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for everyone.
Please arrive clean and refreshed. Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment to help remove dead skin cells and allow better hair removal. Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid irritation after waxing, especially for intimate areas.
Hair must be at least 0.5cm long for effective waxing. If you’ve been shaving, please allow at least 2 weeks of growth before booking. If your hair is too short, I may ask you to reschedule. If it’s too long—don’t worry—I'll trim it for you.
All new clients must book a mandatory consultation and patch test- mini treatment ( bikini line) before their first treatment. This 30-minute appointment includes a full consultation, treatment plan. You’ll be able to book your first wax 48 hours after the consultation.
I use my own brand: ZAKAWAX, a premium hot wax that’s gentle yet effective. Suitable for even the most sensitive areas—face, underarms, and intimate zones. Pre-wax oil is applied to reduce discomfort and prevent skin trauma.
We’ll talk you through the process and may ask for your help (stretching the skin, changing position, etc.). No phones or magazines during your appointment—it’s a team effort! Please follow my instructions to ensure the treatment is quick, safe, and comfortable.
I follow a strict NO DOUBLE DIPPING policy. This means a new stick is used each time wax is applied—no cross-contamination, ever.
Intimate waxing is performed without paper pants. This is standard practice for hygiene and precision. We’re professionals—there’s no need to feel uncomfortable. We’ve seen it all!
For everyone’s safety, I kindly ask that children do not accompany you to your appointment, unless supervised by another adult. The studio environment contains equipment and materials that may be hazardous for little ones.
I only accept bank transfers or cash at this time.
Please arrive on time. Being more than a few minutes late may reduce your treatment time or result in rescheduling. Appointments must be cancelled or changed at least 24 hours in advance using the online booking system. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full amount or have a session deducted from your package.
All communication is via email only. I do not use a landline or messaging for business communications. I aim to reply to all emails during business hours: Tuesdays: 12pm – 8pm Fridays: 11am – 7pm, Saturdays: 11am – 6pm (Additional days will be announced as scheduled.)
I love what I do and treat every client with care and respect. In return, I ask the same. I will not tolerate any patronising, disrespectful, or negative behaviour—whether in person or via communication. We are all human, and kindness goes a long way.
I value your experience!
If you’ve enjoyed your visit, please consider leaving a review or tagging me on social media.
If you have concerns, let me know directly—I am always open to improving.
If you have any questions before your appointment, feel free to get in touch via email. Thank you for your trust and support—I look forward to welcoming you soon!
Warmly, Marta Zaczkowska
If you’re a new client, you’ll need to book a consultation and patch test before your first wax with me. I know some may wonder why this step is necessary, but let me explain—because I never skip it, and there’s a good reason why.
The consultation is much more than just a quick chat. It’s a thorough, personalised session where I take the time to get to know you, your skin, your past hair removal history, and your goals.
We’ll go through your medical history, any allergies or contraindications, previous waxing experiences, and the methods you’ve used before. This gives me a clear picture of how best to treat your skin and ensure the safest and most effective results possible.
I’ll also walk you through the hair growth cycle, how often to wax, how to prevent and treat ingrown hairs, and how to get the best long-term results. Whether it’s your first time waxing, you’re pregnant, nervous, or have had bad experiences before—this is the time where all your questions are welcomed and answered.
I’ll explain why I use ZAKAWAX, the wax brand I trust for its performance and skin-friendly formula, and why we never double dip—something I take very seriously as part of upholding strict hygiene standards.
You’ll also receive full aftercare instructions (verbally and in a printed leaflet), and if I believe laser might be a better fit for you in the long run, I’ll be honest about that too. My priority is always what’s best for you.
We finish the consultation with a patch test—done at least 48 hours before your wax—for your safety. This is especially important for intimate waxing or if I’ve never waxed you before. Your comfort and wellbeing are at the heart of everything I do, and this extra step ensures your skin won’t react to the products we use.
Finally, we go over a declaration together to make sure you understand possible skin responses and feel fully informed. I keep this consultation on record (securely, for up to 7 years) as part of my professional duty and insurance requirements.
As an Industry Expert and Educator, I take pride in delivering the highest waxing standards—and that starts with how we begin. Many of my clients have said the consultation gave them the confidence and clarity they needed, especially those who felt unsure or anxious about waxing.
This is your time to feel heard, informed, and in safe hands—and I wouldn’t do it any other way.
Marta
