Review Your Instagram Insights
Objective
Understand what resonates most with your audience so you can post more strategically, boost engagement, and attract the right clients.
Step 1: Open your insights
Go to your Instagram profile.
Tap the menu (☰) in the top-right corner.
Select Insights.
From here, you can explore three main sections:
Content: shows how each post, story, and reel has performed.
Activity: highlights profile visits, website clicks, and reach.
Audience: reveals follower growth, age, location, and active times.
Step 2: Identify your top-performing content
Tap Content You Shared to see which posts or reels reached the most people.
Change the filter to sort by likes, saves, comments, or reach.
Make note of your top three posts — these tell you what your audience enjoys most.
Questions to consider:
What type of content got the most saves or shares?
Which captions or visuals encouraged comments?
Did educational, personal, or transformation posts perform best?
Step 3: Apply what you’ve learned
Plan to recreate or repurpose similar types of content next week.
If transformation posts perform best, film more before-and-afters.
If your tips get saved often, try a new “3 quick tips” post.
Step 4: Track your progress monthly
Revisit your insights at the end of each month.
Keep a simple note of which content types and topics consistently perform well.
Over time, this helps you shape your content strategy and post with purpose.
