Acrylic: A strong, durable product ideal for added length and long-lasting structure. Best suited to clients who prefer a firmer feel, and defined shape. Also the best option for a length and strength combo...acrylic can withstand more than what a soft builder gel can!

Builder Gel: A gel-based product that provides strength with a more flexible, lightweight finish. Ideal for natural-looking enhancements and structured overlays. For extension services, we use a hard builder gel for added strength with the added length. This product is also commonly known as BIAB (builder-in-a-bottle).

Gel X: A full-coverage, pre-made soft gel tip system designed for instant length and a seamless finish. They're professionally applied using a special gel and cured to the natural nail, creating a lightweight, uniform extension. Think of it as high-quality, salon-grade 'fake nails' - similar to any other product extensions, just lighter and more flexible than acrylic, while working in the same way.

Gel Manicure: A gel polish service applied to natural nails only, with no added length or structure. Perfect for those who love a glossy, long-lasting finish while keeping their natural nail length.

Structure refers to how the product is built on the nail - whether length is added or the natural nail is enhanced. Choosing the right structure helps ensure strength, balance, and long-term nail health.

Extensions: Length is added to the natural nail using tips or full-coverage gel tips, before the product is applied and shaped. Ideal for clients wanting extra length, a new shape, or a more defined look.

Overlays: Product is applied directly to the natural nail with no added length, strengthening and refining what’s already there. Ideal for clients who prefer their natural length with added structure and durability, or for the girls that want to work on their natural nail journey.

Every appointment is structured around how your nails are applied, maintained, and refreshed. Understanding each service type helps ensure you book the right option for your nails, your lifestyle, and your maintenance schedule.

Fresh Set: A complete application on bare or fully removed nails (no product on the nails before the fresh set service), creating a new base, shape, and length where applicable. Ideal for first-time clients or when starting fresh.

Infill: Maintenance of existing enhancements, filling the regrowth and rebalancing the structure to keep nails strong and looking their best. Typically recommended every 2–4 weeks, depending on nail growth, product type and lifestyle.

Removal: A full removal of the existing product. Recommended after 3-4 infills to maintain nail health, balance, and long-term strength. Here at Aura, we are only able to remove out own work!

Design Change: An upgrade to your existing set, involving filing down the previous design and applying a new colour, accents, or nail art. Suitable for nails with minimal growth and within 2 weeks of your last appointment - for the girls who need a little change but don't want to wait for their next fill!

The finish is the final look of your set and is chosen after selecting your product, structure and service type. All finishes are applied with care and attention to detail, allowing you to personalise your nails while maintaining structure and longevity.

Natural Finish: A clear top coat applied over the product in its natural state, enhancing its clean, minimal appearance.

Gel Polish Finish: A solid gel polish colour of your choice, applied for a smooth, glossy, long-lasting finish.

French Finish: Hand-painted French tip detailing, customised in your choice of colour, thickness, and design.

Creative Finish: Detailed or hand-painted nail art, or a combination of techniques and features, tailored to create a more personalised look.
