Lash Extensions – Aftercare Advice
Proper aftercare is essential to maintain the longevity of your lash extensions and the health of your natural lashes.
For the first 24–48 hours:
- Avoid getting your lashes wet (no water, steam, saunas, swimming, or excessive sweating).
- Do not apply eye makeup or skincare products around the eye area.
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or sleeping on your lashes.
- Keep lashes away from heat sources (ovens, hair dryers, steam).
Ongoing care:
- Clean lashes regularly with a lash-safe cleanser to remove oil, makeup, and debris.
- Avoid oil-based products, including makeup remover, cleansers, and creams around the eyes.
- Do not use mascara unless it is specifically lash-extension safe (never waterproof).
- Avoid rubbing or pulling at your lashes.
- Brush lashes daily with a clean spoolie to keep them neat.
- Avoid lash curlers or perming solutions.
Maintenance:
- Infill appointments are recommended every 2–3 weeks.
- Excessive shedding can occur if aftercare is not followed.
- Lash extensions will shed naturally with your natural lash cycle.
Lash Lift & Tint – Aftercare Advice
Following correct aftercare will help ensure the best results and longevity of your lash lift.
For the first 24–48 hours:
- Keep lashes completely dry (no water, steam, saunas, swimming, or sweating).
- Avoid eye makeup, eye creams, and oils around the eyes.
- Do not rub, touch, or sleep on your lashes.
- Avoid heat and steam, as this can cause the lift to drop.
After 48 hours:
- You may resume your normal skincare and makeup routine.
- Avoid waterproof mascara where possible, as it can weaken the lift over time.
- Gently cleanse lashes daily.
- Brush lashes upward with a clean spoolie to maintain shape.
General care:
- Use a nourishing lash serum or conditioner to keep lashes healthy.
- Results typically last 6–8 weeks depending on your natural lash growth cycle.
- Avoid lash curlers, as the lashes are already lifted.
