Medical Questionnaire

All clients are required to complete a consultation form relating to their health, lifestyle, and wellbeing before their first appointment, and again every six months thereafter.

This will be sent to you once a treatment has been booked and must be completed before your appointment.

If a consultation form has not been completed in advance, we will need to go through this together during your appointment. Please note that this may impact your treatment time.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform Blue Aura of any changes to their health, medical conditions, allergies, medication, pregnancy status, or injuries at every visit, as these may affect the suitability of treatment.

This information is essential to ensure that your treatment is safe, appropriate, and fully tailored to you.


Suitability of Treatments

Treatments provided at Blue Aura are complementary therapies and are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, examination, or medical care. Clients should continue to attend any existing or future medical appointments and follow the advice of their medical practitioner.

Blue Aura does not diagnose illness, prescribe medication, or recommend medical procedures.

The therapist reserves the right to refuse, adapt, or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsuitable or contraindicated due to medical conditions, disclosed information, or for the safety and wellbeing of either the client or therapist.

In some circumstances, medical clearance may be required from a GP or other appropriate healthcare professional before a treatment can be carried out.

Each person responds differently to treatments and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

By booking a treatment, clients confirm that all information provided in their consultation form is true and accurate to the best of their knowledge.


Code of Conduct & Etiquette

To ensure a calm, respectful, and professional environment for all clients, please observe the following:

Arrival & appointment times

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Arriving late may result in your treatment time being reduced to avoid impacting other clients. Full treatment fees will still apply.

Respectful behaviour

Blue Aura is a professional therapeutic environment. Clients are expected to behave respectfully at all times.

Any form of inappropriate behaviour, indecent language, sexual comments, harassment, or requests for services outside of professional treatment will not be tolerated. Treatment will be ended immediately and full payment will be required.

Professional boundaries & modesty

Clients are required to wear underwear during all treatments where clothing is removed. Towels and draping will be used at all times to protect modesty and privacy.

Only the areas being worked on will be uncovered.

Therapist’s right to refuse treatment

Blue Aura reserves the right to refuse or terminate treatment at any time if a client’s behaviour is inappropriate, if boundaries are not respected, or if the therapist feels uncomfortable, unsafe, or that professional standards are being compromised.

Environment & facilities

Blue Aura reserves the right to withdraw or limit the use of facilities at any time for essential maintenance or unforeseen circumstances. Prices and services may be subject to change without prior notice.


Health & Safety

Due to the nature of massage and facial treatments and the close contact involved, Blue Aura maintains a high standard of hygiene and infection control. Clients are also expected to attend appointments having observed good personal hygiene.

If the therapist is unwell, experiencing symptoms of illness, infection, or a contagious condition, treatments will not be carried out in order to protect client safety. In these circumstances, you will be contacted as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment.

Clients must not attend appointments if they are unwell, experiencing symptoms of illness, infection, cold or flu, sickness, skin infections, or any contagious conditions. Please contact Blue Aura at the earliest opportunity to rearrange your appointment.

Blue Aura reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment if a client attends an appointment while unwell or if there are concerns regarding health, hygiene, or cross-contamination risks.

Hair Dye, Chemical Treatments & Allergies

Due to a severe allergy to hair dye and certain chemical products, clients must not attend appointments within 48 hours of having their hair dyed or chemically treated, and hair must have been washed after any colouring or chemical service before attending a treatment.

This is essential to prevent allergic reactions and cross-contamination.

If a client attends an appointment having had their hair dyed or chemically treated within the previous 48 hours, Blue Aura reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment. In these circumstances, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit may be forfeited.


Bookings, Cancellations & Rescheduling

Deposits

A 50% deposit is required to secure all appointments.

Blue Aura reserves the right to cancel any appointment if the deposit has not been paid at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel an appointment.

Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice are eligible for a refund of the deposit, subject to a £5 processing fee.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend an appointment, will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit.

Refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 3–5 working days.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

While every effort will be made to accommodate late arrivals, arriving more than 20 minutes late may result in your appointment being cancelled and full payment will still be due, as it may not be possible to complete your treatment without impacting other clients.

Rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.

Rescheduled appointments are subject to availability and must take place within 60 days of the original appointment date.

Appointments may be rescheduled a maximum of three times within the 60-day period. If the rescheduled appointment is not attended within this time frame, the booking will be cancelled and the 50% deposit will be forfeited.

Repeated Cancellations / Non-Attendance

Blue Aura reserves the right to decline future bookings following repeated late cancellations, excessive rescheduling, or non-attendance.


Gift Cards & Vouchers

Gift cards are valid for six months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Gift cards are valid for one-time use only and must be presented or referenced at the time of booking.

Gift cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Blue Aura cannot extend expired gift cards.

Lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards cannot be replaced.

Gift cards are subject to availability and must be redeemed in line with Blue Aura’s booking and cancellation policies.
