LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE 👄

Remember Lip Tattooing is a multiple session treatment (2 typically needed)

Normal symptoms you may experience for 4 days

Swelling, redness, tenderness

Dry flaking skin as the lips heal

DO's

•Clean the lips daily with damp cotton pads / Water wipes are fine to clean with too.

•Cold packs can be applied to the lips to reduce swelling and help with sensitivity

•Apply a thin light layer of healing balm regularly using a cotton bud, Use a new bud each time to prevent cross contamination

•Drink through a straw for the first 2 days

DONT's

  • Do not Pick, peel or touch the lips as you will heal unevenly and risk infection from bacteria.
  • Do not kiss anyone for 5 days
  • Do not apply any makeup on the lips for 1 week
  • Do not apply too much balm in a thick laver will cause build up on the lips. Less is more!
  • Do not Submerge the lips in water for 1 week
  • Do not wear a face mask for a long period of time - infection control
  • Do not receive skincare beauty treatments for 5 days
  • Do not receive waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments close to the lip region for 2 weeks
  • Do not expose your lips to direct sun, tanning treatments, Jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools and direct shower spray.
  • Do not use lip plump products for 2 weeks
  • Do not receive lip filler or any injections in the lips for 4 weeks

If you suffer with cold sores at present or any time in the past, use an anti herpes medication topically Zovirax, 5 times a day for a 1 week period. Acyclovir tablets can also be used to prevent an outbreak - follow prescription instructions. If an outbreak does occur its usually on the 3rd day of healing. Stop using the healing balm and continue with cold sore cream only.

BROW AFTER CARE 🤎

  • For 2 more days, 2 times a day clean the the brow area clean with clean water and a clean cotton pad. Hands must be freshly clean .
  • From day 5 if needed (if your brows are very dry) apply a thin layer of A&D  (rice size amount on each brow).
  • DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.
  • Avoid pool, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 10 days.
  • Avoid sweating on your face for 10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.
  • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
  • Keep your bangs and hair pulled back from your face for the first 10 days.
  • NO makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area for 10 days.
  • After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using sunblock when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for 2 weeks after your procedure.
  • Avoid Retin-A, Chemical Peels, Laser Treatments, Microdermabrasions, and/or anything to treat hyperpigmentation around the brow area once healed to prevent fading of your brow tattoo.
  • Inform your MRI technician that you have had a tattoo.

Please note: Eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, and sharper due to natural scabbing and healing for the first week. This is very common for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
