I will always provide my clients with the best service but there are lots of things to consider once you leave the salon to ensure the upkeep of your nails. l Aways think about your lifestyle/ job when choosing the length and design of your nails, if you do a lot of hands on work or heavy lifting then long nails might not be for you. Keep up with regularly appointments to maintain the health and look of your nails! (I always advise to book in on a monthly basis as a minimum and try to book 2/3 appointments in advance where possible It's so important to use cuticle oil! At least twice a day this. Not only helps your manicure last longer it improves hydration and stimules growth. Be mindful that long exposure to water and high temperatures (hot tubs, saunas, sunbeds, swimming) will affect the longevity of your nails and may result in lifting/chips in any type of polish. Applying make up and tanning products with bare hands can cause staining of the nails, some suncreams (containing DEET) can also cause lifting as it softens the nail enamel. You may of heard the saying nails are jewels not tools! This is to say do not use your nails to pick labels, open cans and wear gloves when washing up/ cleaning/gardening or doing D. I. Y. And lastly do not pick or peel your own nails as you may damage the surface of the nails and avoid tapping your nails against hard surfaces as this also may cause lifting
