Wash & shave/wax any areas of your body you desire
Exfoliate your body paying particular attention to dry areas. (An exfoliating mitt or gentle scrub works well)
Moisturise your whole body with an oil free moisturiser
Paint finger nails and/or toe nails if you desire to avoid staining
Shower off any residue from moisturiser (when left on this could discolour your tan)
Avoid applying moisturiser, deodorant, or perfume, as this can also cause discolouration
Please also avoid any Dove, Olay or Johnson’s baby products before your tan as for some reason they cause a layer on the skin so the tan to not adhere to the skin correctly
Wear loose dark clothing ( PJ’s, dressing gown, loose dress or old joggers and baggy T-shirt are all favourites with my clients) along with flip flops or loose fitting shoes. Tight clothes will cause the tan to rub off
All of these steps will ensure your tan will go on perfectly and results will last longer
Please keep your tan on for the recommended development time. This is 8-10 hours for the CLASSIC and CLEAR Sienna X solution and you can sleep in your tan
For the EXPRESS Sienna X solution leave on for the recommended development time of 1-4 hours, I will give you a specific time to wash this off at your appointment.
Please shower in luke warm water and Avoid using harsh or highly perfumed soaps when showering off your guide colour after your tan has developed. This should be a quick rinse to remove the guide colour
Pat your skin dry (DO NOT rub) with a towel after your shower
Moisturise your Glow with an oil free moisturiser to help it to last as long as possible
Don’t forget to drink your water too as hydrated skin will keep your tan in the best condition
A gradual tan moisturiser is best to top up your colour from day 5 onwards
