If there is one thing off this list to follow please follow this. Cuticle oil is a game changer for retention, It nourishes the skin and nails and reduces lifting of enhancements. Use at least once a day when wearing enhancements.
Keep Up With Nail Maintenance
I know it can be tempting to leave your gel or acrylic nails as long as possible, but they do need regular upkeep so your nails underneath stay healthy and looking their best. Please book an infill every 2-4 weeks depending on your needs, Leaving your nails too long between appointments can lead to weakening of the natural nails or infections of the nail plate due to lifting of product.
Jewels Not Tools
When wearing enhancements your nails can feel stronger because they have been reinforced, this does not mean they cannot be damaged though. Using your nails as tools can cause breaks, lifting and early service breakdown which can lead to poor retention and damage over time. Do not open cans, peel labels, open packages or use nails for typing etc.
Wear Gloves When Washing Up Or Cleaning
Frequent exposure to harsh chemicals and water can cause early service breakdown. Please wear gloves when handling chemicals and washing up.
Do Not Glue Down Lifted Enhancements
When you glue down lifted enhancements you could be trapping moisture, fungus or bacteria against your nail plate. This pocket you create is moist and warm and the perfect environment for bacteria or fungus to grow. Please book in for a nail repair instead.
Don't Bite, Pick or Peel Your Nails Off
When you peel your enhancements off it takes layers of the natural nail with it. This results in retention issues and thinning of the natural nails.
Keep Nails and Hands Clean
Maintain the hygiene of your nails by cleaning the underside with a brush and soapy water.
