Update Your Instagram Profile
Objective
Start the week by giving your Instagram profile a refresh.
Your profile is often the first impression a client gets — so let’s make sure it’s clear, polished, and ready to attract new bookings.
Use this checklist to update your profile picture, name field, bio, and link in bio.
Step 1: Update your profile picture
Choose a clear image — either your face, logo, or something clean and on-brand (no blurry salon photos).
Make sure it’s consistent with your brand aesthetic and the tone of your feed.
Step 2: Refresh your name field
The bold text under your handle should include searchable keywords like “Nail Tech,” “Lash Artist,” or your location.
Example: “Nadia | Nail Tech • Manchester”
This helps you show up in Instagram search results when clients are looking for local professionals.
Step 3: Rewrite your bio
Make sure your bio clearly tells people:
What you do
Who you do it for
Where you’re based
How to book
End with a short call-to-action, such as “Book below” or “Waitlist now open.”
Step 4: Check your link in bio
Add a direct link to your Solo booking profile or website.
Remove any outdated or unnecessary links so there’s one clear next step for clients to take.
Step 5: Final check
Read through your profile and make sure it’s:
Easy to understand
On-brand and professional
Action-driven, guiding clients to book
