✨ Apply cuticle oil at least once a day! Lifting and poor retention is usually caused by dehydration. Keep your hands and nails hydrated with cuticle oil and hand cream. This is an essential part of aftercare.
✨ Wear gloves when cleaning / handling chemicals - unfortunately gel is not indestructible and may react to cleaning/beauty supplies. Keep protected where you can!
✨ Nails are jewels not tools - avoid picking labels, opening cans and general improper use of your nails, especially if they’re long!
✨ Do not pick gel off! Every time you do this you’re causing damage by removing a layer of your nail bed. Damaged nails create a weaker surface meaning you may experience painful heat spikes and poor retention for your next set.
✨ Regular appointments - everyone is different, but I generally recommend 3-4 weeks for infills. The longer you let your nails grow without rebalancing, the more likely they are to strain and break.
For 24 hours after Lamination: Avoid touching your brows! Your pores are open so the area needs to stay clean to avoid any nasties getting in and possibly causing an infection. It’s also important not to interfere with the brow shape whilst the hairs are in the final processing stage.
Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs, as well as sunbeds/exposure to UV lights as hyperpigmentation can occur. Refrain from applying make up or harsh skincare (retinols) on the area and do not get the brows wet for 24 hours.
✨ Brush eyebrows back into place with a spoolie after showering/getting them wet. Apply a brow gel or balm if you want to maintain shape and hold.
✨ Apply an aftercare oil (jojoba or almond) nightly to keep brows fresh and nourished. Lamination simply put is a perm for your brows… you wouldn’t not condition a perm!
Tint + Wax upkeep is recommended every 3-4 weeks.
Lamination upkeep is recommended every 6-8 weeks.
