Proper aftercare is essential for the best results, healing and longevity of your permanent makeup. Follow these guidelines carefully for lips and brows:
General Guidelines
- Avoid touching picking or scratching the treated area
- Keep the area clean and dry for the first few days
- Avoid makeup creams or skincare products directly on the treated area until fully healed
- Do not soak the area in water such as swimming or saunas for seven to ten days
Lips Aftercare (Blush and Neutralisation)
- Expect slight swelling or tenderness for 24 to 48 hours
- Avoid staining foods and drinks such as coffee tea red wine and tomato sauces for 48 hours
- Use the healing balm provided or recommended by your technician
- Lips may flake or peel during healing do not pick
Brows Aftercare (Microblading, Ombré, Powder and Microshading)
- Mild redness or scabbing is normal for seven to ten days
- Avoid sweating heavily such as in gyms or saunas for the first week
- Do not apply makeup or brow products until fully healed
Top Up / Follow Up
A top up is often recommended for both lips and brows about 6-8 weeks after the initial session. This ensures the colour is even, the shape is perfected and any areas that healed lighter can be adjusted.
