At Maison de Glow, our goal is for your beauty rituals to last beautifully while keeping your skin, nails, and lashes healthy. Each treatment is a bespoke experience, and the results are enhanced when care instructions are followed. Please read carefully and adhere to the guidance provided for each treatment.
Nail Treatments — Gel, BIAB, and Luxury Manicures & Pedicures
Optimise your nail results with daily care:
- Apply cuticle oil daily to nourish and maintain healthy nail beds.
- Wear gloves when cleaning, washing dishes, or using household chemicals.
- Avoid picking, peeling, or lifting gel, BIAB, or other overlays.
- For children’s nails (Petite Polish & Petite Toes), use only gentle, child-safe products and avoid harsh chemicals.
- Book professional removal appointments to prevent damage.
Luxury Tip: Treat your hands and feet to gentle hydration daily to maintain a polished, couture finish.
Waxing & Threading — Silken Smoothness
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, or swimming for 24 hours.
- Do not apply makeup, deodorant, or perfumed products on freshly waxed areas for 24 hours.
- Wear loose clothing to reduce irritation.
- Begin gentle exfoliation 48 hours after waxing to prevent ingrown hairs.
Eyebrows:
- Avoid touching or rubbing the area for 24 hours.
- Do not apply makeup on the brows for 24 hours.
Important Guidance:
Waxing and threading may cause mild redness or irritation. If prolonged redness, swelling, or signs of infection occur, contact a healthcare professional.
HD Brows — Precision Brow Artistry
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching brows for 24–48 hours.
- No makeup, self-tan, or perfumed products on the brow area.
- Avoid saunas, steam rooms, sunbeds, swimming, or hot showers immediately post-treatment.
- Keep brows dry; carefully apply SPF around the area.
- Condition daily with a nourishing brow serum.
- Return every 4–6 weeks for maintenance.
Important Guidance:
HD Brows is not suitable for clients with open wounds, active skin conditions, or recent chemical or laser treatments near the brow area.
Lashes & Lash Lifts — The Eye Couture Ritual
- Avoid rubbing or pulling lashes for 48 hours.
- Do not use oil-based products on or near lashes.
- Avoid steam, saunas, swimming, and hot showers for 24–48 hours.
- Brush lashes daily to maintain shape and lift.
Important Guidance:
Lash lifts are not recommended for clients with eye infections, conjunctivitis, or recent eye surgery. Always follow your therapist’s guidance.
Facial Treatments & Microneedling — Skin Artistry
Microneedling
- Avoid touching or applying makeup for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid direct sun exposure; use SPF 50 daily.
- No saunas, steam rooms, or intense exercise for 48 hours.
- Avoid active skincare (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 5–7 days.
Chemical Peels (CLINICCARE, etc.)
- Expect temporary redness, tightness, flaking, or peeling — this is normal.
- Avoid touching, picking, or pulling loose skin.
- Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers; avoid exfoliants, retinoids, acids, or harsh products for 5–7 days.
- Apply SPF 50 daily; avoid sunbeds, intense sun, or extreme weather for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated water, saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers for 24–48 hours.
- Mineral makeup can be applied once skin has settled.
Important Guidance:
Failure to follow instructions may increase the risk of hyperpigmentation, irritation, or delayed healing. Chemical peels are contraindicated for clients with active infections, open wounds, or certain medical conditions.
Microdermabrasion / Hydradermabrasion
- Skin may appear pink or flushed for a few hours.
- Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
- Use gentle cleansers and moisturisers; SPF 50 is recommended.
- Avoid exfoliating or active skincare for 5 days.
Elim Pedicure & Heel Peel — Foot Renewal Ritual
What to Expect:
- Mild dryness, flaking, or peeling is normal.
- Gradual skin renewal occurs over several days.
Aftercare Instructions:
- Keep feet clean and dry; avoid hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, or swimming for 48 hours.
- Do not pick or peel flaking skin; let it shed naturally.
- Apply a gentle, fragrance-free foot cream morning and night.
- Wear comfortable, supportive footwear to avoid friction.
- Resume light filing only when the skin is fully intact.
Important Guidance:
Elim treatments are not suitable for clients with open wounds, severe eczema/psoriasis flares, uncontrolled diabetes, or active infections. Persistent redness, swelling, or pain should be reported immediately.
Massage Treatments — The Art of Touch
- Avoid intense physical activity immediately after a massage to allow muscles to relax.
- Drink plenty of water to aid circulation and toxin release.
- For Swedish or relaxation massages, avoid alcohol for 24 hours to maintain benefits.
Important Guidance:
Massage may not be suitable for clients with certain medical conditions; always disclose relevant health information to your therapist.
General Recommendations Across All Treatments
- Follow your therapist’s personalised instructions at all times.
- Avoid combining treatments with conflicting products (strong acids, retinoids, or intensive exfoliants) unless approved.
- Maintain hydration and nutrition to support skin, nail, and hair health.
- Contact your therapist promptly if you notice unusual reactions, discomfort, or signs of infection.
