Aftercare varies depending what treatment you book in for.✨ PEDICURE- Wear cotton socks as they allow the feet to breath and do not induce sweating. - Pay special attention to drying in between the toes after showering and bathing. - Avoid tight fitting footwear. - Do not cut the toe nails too short or down the sides as this will make them grow inwards. - Regularly treat hard skin on a gradual basis. - Do foot exercises to keep the joints moving. - Have regular pedicures – fortnightly if the feet need a lot of attention and monthly if they are in better condition. - Allow adequate time after your pedicure for your nails to dry and wear open toe shoes/flip flops.💚 MANICURE- Apply hand cream regularly. - Rubber gloves should be worn as water and detergents will weaken the nails and have a drying effect on the skin and they will prolong the life of your varnish. - Drink plenty of water as this helps strengthen the nails and hydrates the skin and is essential part of maintaining a healthy body (we recommend 6-8 glasses per day). - Eat a healthy, balanced diet – include at least five portions of fruit and vegetables. - Gentle buffing of the nails will strengthen them. - Allow adequate time after your manicure for your nails to dry before leaving the salon. - Massage cuticle with oil. - Use non-acetone varnish remover. - Have regular manicures.🤎 MASSAGE- Occasionally, you may experience any of the following reactions up to 24-48 hours after treatment; this is known as a contra-action and is the body’s response to the treatment: - Headache - Dizziness or nausea - Disrupted sleeping pattern - Muscles may feel tired and achy - Increased urination or passing stools - Increased thirst - Fatigue This is very common after any type of massage and a good sign showing toxins from body are getting rid of themselves so MUST: - Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours, as massage is a detoxifying treatment - Drink plenty of water to assist in the elimination of toxins from the body - Eat a light diet to assist the detoxification and healing process - Get plenty of rest. You may feel tired after treatment - Gentle exercise – postural exercises can help with muscle tension as well as exercises that will assist with mobility. Yoga is a suitable and gentle option. - Do breathing exercises to assist with taking in oxygen to your fullest capacity - Research the possibility of treatment options to assist with stress and other conditions, if necessary.💚 WAXING- keep the area clean, dry, and cool for 24-48 hours by avoiding hot showers, saunas, intense exercise, and tight clothing to prevent irritation and infection. Do not apply perfumes, deodorants, or other fragranced products to the treated area. Keep skin moisturized with gentle, fragrance-free products and protect it from sun exposure. Gentle exfoliation after a few days can help prevent ingrown hairs. 🤎 FACIAL- After leaving with glowing skin - Avoid wearing make-up for at least six hours after a facial treatment. - Always cleanse, tone and moisturise your face. To prevent loss of moisture, protect the skin from make-up and to keep the skin soft and supple. - Always remove all traces of make-up at the end of the day. - Drink plenty of water (we recommend 6-8 glasses per day). - Eat a healthy, balanced diet – include at least five portions of fruit and vegetables. - Do not undertake any other facial skincare treatments within 48 hours of having a facial. - Avoid sunbathing for up to 12 hours. - Avoid direct heat, such as saunas, hot baths, showers or a hot hairdryer. - Do not apply perfume or perfumed products to treated area within 48 hours of having a facial. - Stay away from direct sunlight/sunbeds and heat e.g. saunas for 48 hours after having a facial. - Do not apply any other exfoliating skincare products for 72 hours after having a facial. - Always use an SPF sunscreen to block ultraviolet B rays. - Avoid smoking and alcohol as this can cause further breakouts.🤎
