Makeup Artist Terms of Service 1. Introduction This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the terms and conditions between [Your Business Name] ("Makeup Artist," "we," "us," or "our") and the client ("Client," "you," or "your") for the provision of makeup and related services. By booking our services, you agree to the terms outlined below. 2. Booking Policy Event Makeup Bookings: Deposits are not required for event makeup services. However, valid credit or debit card details must be provided at the time of booking. By providing your card details, you authorise the Makeup Artist to charge the following fees if the booking is cancelled or if you fail to attend your appointment: Full Payment: Charged if the Client does not show up for the scheduled appointment or cancels within 24 hours of the appointment. Cancellation Fee: A fee of £20 will be charged for cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the appointment. Weddings, Larger Group Bookings, and Peak Season: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking cost is required to secure your booking. This deposit ensures your appointment is reserved and will be applied toward the final payment. Deposits are non-refundable but may be moved to a different date (subject to availability) or redeemed against other services within 6 months of the original booking date. Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received. Booking the Correct Service It is essential that clients book the correct service for their needs. Bridal makeup and event makeup are separate services with different pricing, time allocations, and requirements. If a client books an incorrect service (e.g., booking event makeup instead of bridal makeup), we reserve the right to adjust the booking accordingly and invoice for the correct total fee. Failure to book the appropriate service may result in additional charges, adjustments to the schedule, or, in some cases, cancellation if the correct service cannot be accommodated within the available time. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they select the appropriate service at the time of booking. If you are unsure which service to book, please contact us before confirming your appointment. 3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Rescheduling is permitted subject to availability. For wedding and group bookings, cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the scheduled date will result in the forfeiture of the deposit and may incur additional fees. In the event the Makeup Artist needs to cancel or reschedule, all efforts will be made to accommodate the Client, or no fees will be charged. 4. Travel and Location Requirements Travel fees may apply for on-location services outside a 20 mile radius of Enfield. London Surcharge Bookings in London are subject to a £75 London Surcharge, which will be added to your total booking cost if your location falls within the qualifying area. This additional charge covers the extra time, travel, and expenses required for London-based appointments. If you're unsure whether your booking is affected, please get in touch before confirming your appointment. Adequate space, lighting, and a clean, safe working area must be provided by the Client at the location. 5. Services and Timing A consultation or trial session can be booked separately to determine the desired look. Clients are responsible for informing the Makeup Artist of any allergies or sensitivities prior to the session. The Makeup Artist will not be held liable for allergic reactions or skin sensitivities. 6. Use of Products and Equipment The Makeup Artist uses professional-grade products and sanitizes tools and equipment according to industry standards. If the Client requests the use of their own makeup products, the Makeup Artist cannot guarantee the results or assume responsibility for any adverse reactions. 7. Late Policy Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may have their session shortened or cancelled at the discretion of the Makeup Artist, without a refund. 8. Liability The Makeup Artist is not responsible for any damage, loss, or delay caused by unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to accidents, natural disasters, or illness. The Makeup Artist's liability is limited to the cost of services provided. 9. Photography and Media Release By booking services, you consent to the Makeup Artist taking photos or videos during the session for promotional use, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The Client may opt out of this clause by notifying the Makeup Artist in advance. 10. Confidentiality The Makeup Artist will not disclose any personal information shared by the Client, except as required by law. 11. Governing Law This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. 12. Acceptance of Terms By booking our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
