Ask Clients to Share Reviews in Local Community Groups

How & Why it Works:
Word-of-mouth is one of the most powerful marketing tools, and people trust recommendations from their friends and neighbours more than they trust traditional advertising. By asking your clients to share their positive experience in local community groups, you’re leveraging that trust and allowing your happy clients to do some of the marketing for you.
In addition, when your client includes their Solo referral code, you can easily track any new customers who book through their recommendation. Offering a discount or incentive for leaving a review further encourages clients to take action and share their positive experience with their network.
Set-Up:
Ask for Permission: After providing a service, let your client know that you’d love their support in promoting your business by leaving a review in their local group. This can be either a Facebook group for the local area or a WhatsApp group they’re part of with neighbours or friends.
Offer an Incentive: To encourage them to take the time to write a review, offer them a discount on their next treatment. Let them know that by sharing their positive experience, they’ll not only help others discover your services but also benefit from a discount on their next booking.
Provide Easy Instructions: Make it as easy as possible for them to leave a review. Luckily with Solo, once a booking is completed they will automatically be sent a link to leave a review. But make sure to encourage them to copy and share it in their local groups.
Share the Referral Code: Remind your client to include their Solo referral code in their post. This ensures that any new clients who book through their recommendation can be easily tracked and attributed to them.
Tactics:
Request the Review: Politely ask your client to leave a review in their local community group, and let them know how much it would mean to you. Example:
“Hey [Client's Name], I’d love if you could share your experience in the local [Facebook Group/WhatsApp Group]. Reviews really help spread the word about my services, and I’d be so grateful for your support! As a thank you, I’d be happy to offer you 20% off your next treatment.”
Provide Incentives: The offer of a discount or special deal is a great motivator. Be clear on what they’ll receive for leaving a review. For example:
“If you’re able to post a review in your local group and tag me, I’ll give you 20% off your next treatment as a thank you!”
Include the Referral Code: Encourage your clients to include their Solo referral code in their post, so you can track any new customers who book as a result of their recommendation. Example:
“If you share your referral code [insert code] when posting, you’ll also get credit for any new clients who book through your recommendation!”
Make It Simple: After your client agrees to leave a review, follow up with clear instructions on how to do so. You could send them a message like:
“Here’s the link to my page: [insert link]. You can simply copy and paste this message into your local group: ‘I had an amazing experience with [Your Name] for a [service] and highly recommend them! Use my referral code [insert code] for a discount on your first treatment!’”
Thank Them: Once your client leaves a review, make sure to thank them personally. A simple message like “Thank you so much for the review! Your support means the world to me, and I can’t wait to see you again soon!” makes your client feel appreciated and valued.
