Understanding Your Performance
The Performance tab shows how people discover and interact with your business on Google Search and Maps. It gives you insights into customer behaviour so you can improve your visibility and attract more clients.
Key metrics you will see
Category | Metric | What it means |
|---|---|---|
How People Found You | Searches | The number of people who found your business through Google Search or Maps |
Search Queries | The actual words people typed into Google to find you, for example "spa near me" or "massage in Bearsted" | |
Where Your Business Appears | Views on Search | The number of times your profile was seen in Google Search |
Views on Maps | The number of times your profile was seen in Google Maps | |
Customer Actions | Calls | How many people tapped to call your business |
Bookings | This metric does not apply if you use Solo, since Solo is not integrated with Google. You can still link your Solo website link under Website and Services in your Google Business Profile settings | |
Directions | How many people asked Google Maps for directions to your business | |
Website clicks | How many people clicked through to your website |
How to use the data
Look at search queries and use the same words on your website and profile to improve visibility
Compare search views and map views to see where people are finding you. If map views are low, improve your local SEO and make sure your location details are accurate
Review customer actions such as calls, bookings, or clicks. These show buying intent. If numbers are low, improve your offers, call to action buttons, or contact details
Pay attention to direction requests. These indicate real interest in visiting your business. If requests are low, consider clearer directions or location photos
The Performance tab is your live dashboard for customer behaviour. By checking it regularly and adjusting your strategy, you can grow your visibility, attract more clients, and increase bookings.
