Aftercare | nailzbycharlFor the first 24 hours- Avoid long hot baths, saunas, or steam (especially important for gel/acrylic sets).
- Be gentle with your nails—adhesives and products continue to fully set.
Daily care- Apply cuticle oil at least once a day (ideally morning & night) to keep nails flexible and prevent lifting.
- Use hand cream regularly to keep skin and cuticles hydrated.
- Wear gloves when cleaning, washing dishes, or using harsh chemicals.
Protect your nails- Do not use your nails as tools (opening cans, scraping, picking labels).
- Avoid biting, picking, or peeling polish or enhancements.
- Be mindful when typing, fastening seatbelts, or handling zips.
If you have gel/acrylic/BIAB- Never pick or force product off—this can damage your natural nails.
- Book regular infill or removal appointments (usually every 3-4 weeks).
- If lifting or breakage occurs, contact me as soon as possible for advice.
General tips- Avoid excessive hand sanitizer use where possible (it can dry out nails).
- Keep nails at a practical length for your lifestyle.
- Healthy nails start from within—hydration and good nutrition help too.
Need help?- If you notice lifting, irritation, or damage, please get in touch rather than trying to fix it yourself.
