Natalie is a miracle worker! I have very severe hypermobility issues causing my feet to "flop" inwards, and haven't been able to straighten out my ankles my whole life. After asking Natalie to help me with some foot and calf cramps, she spent time on my feet and found an area that needed attention. I realised laying down that night that I could comfortably turn my foot into a straighter position and immediately felt how everything in my lower leg and knee realigned. I tried it out this morning and I can put my foot up for Bulgarian squats straight without feeling like my ankle will pop out of joint like it usually does! Spray tan prep advice
The preparation before a spray tan is crucial .....
Shave or wax at least 24/48hrs before tanning. Exfoliate the night before your tanning appointment (Exfoliating continuous for two days prior for best results) paying particular attention to dry areas such as knees, elbows and feet. Full exposure to the skin's protein surface is required for the tan to work. Without a good base your tan will not last. Do not leave exfoliating to the day of your appointment. Over night you will produce a new top layer of skin ready to be tanned Very important - Moisturisers, creams and lotions will act as a barrier to the tanning solution which could very likely cause your tan to become patchy if still sitting on your skin at the time of your spray tan.
Avoid showering too close to your appointment time!! A tan's development colour will develop best on a slightly acidic skin which means your skin's PH balance needs time to fall after showering. The lower the PH of your skin the more golden brown the tan will turn. A damp skin can also cause your tan to develop patchy! Keep your skin free of any deodorants and perfumes as these can also prohibit the absorption of the tan solution. Do not use baby/facial wipes to remove deodorants and perfumes as these can cause the tan to turn green on the skin.
