I have now changed the way I do my lash lifts from the traditional method to the Korean Style Lash Lift!
So what’s the difference between a traditional Lash Lift and a Korean Lash Lift? A Korean Lash Lift traditionally has a more gentle approach with a cysteamine-based formula to lift the lashes from root to tip. This creates a softer, more gentle curl, while optimising the condition of the lashes.
Do you need another patch test to have the Korean Lash Lift? If you have already had a lash lift with me then no, you don’t need another patch test! My solutions have always contained cysteamine as I have always preferred to use products that prioritise natural enhancements, so I will be using the same formula. However, if you haven’t had a lash lift with me then a patch test is required a minimum of 48 hours prior to treatment!
So what’s different? The technique for Korean Lash Lift is different to a traditional lash lift. There are 3 steps to my lash lifts. With a Korean Lash Lift, I will now be using a flat shield for step 1 to allow each individual lash to be lifted directly at the root rather than forcing the lashes into a harsh curl, preventing an uneven base. Once the lashes have relaxed with step 1, step 2 uses a curled shield to create a beautiful, natural looking ‘open eyed’ lift. Step 3 focuses solely on conditioning the lashes with a blend of keratin and collagen to maximise the condition of the lashes after treatment.
I also include a lash tint in my Korean Lash Lift treatment to achieve that natural ‘no-makeup’ look.
