How to care for your HD Brow Lamination

How to look after your brow lamination in the first 24/48 hours after treatment As part of your eyebrow lamination aftercare, it is crucial that you: Avoid getting the brow area wet for 24 hours Avoid contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours I also recommend that you follow these guidelines in the run up to and the days after your treatment: Avoid using exfoliating (be it AHA, BHA or scrubs) and anti-ageing skincare around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment. Avoid fake tanning products (including gradual tan) on the face for three days either side of your treatment, as it can discolour the eyebrow tint (unless you’re after khaki coloured brows). I may apply some make up at the end of your treatment, however you should avoid applying any further heavy make up (foundations, etc) on the area around the brow for 24 hours.

How do I keep my brows in shape after brow lamination? Brow lamination does not permanently set your hairs in your desired, brushed up position. It breaks down the bonds in your hair so that you can easily manipulate them into the look you want. All you’ll need to do is brush them back into place with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back to that fluffy finish – no product required. These results will last for 6-8 weeks.

It is strongly recommended that you apply a conditioning serum twice daily after brow lamination to maintain healthy, hydrated eyebrow hairs.

Lash Lift Aftercare

Do not get lashes wet for the first 24 hours

Avoid steam, saunas and hot showers for the first 48 hours

Avoid touching, rubbing or introducing foreign bodies or contaminants into the treatment area

Ensure lashes are not disturbed or manipulated into different positions (e.g when sleeping, cleansing the face, applying moisturiser or cosmetics)

Do not perm lashes or use lash curlers

Avoid strong sunlight or UV light

To achieve the maximum results it is essential that you follow the relevant aftercare advice, failure to do so could lead to an adverse reaction (e.g swelling, irritation, lash damage etc). If redness or irritation does occur, apply a damp cotton wool compress. If symptoms persist, consult a GP.

Massage Aftercare

Following your massage, take it as easy as you can for as long as you can.

Skip any strenuous activities for at least 12 hours to capitalise on that post massage, wonderful feeling.

Drink plenty of water to help expel the toxins which are released during a massage. You may find that you feel thirstier, have mild aches or slight headache, all of which can be aided by drinking more water.

Avoid any alcohol and caffeine for at least 12 hours.

Be cautious of the sunlight as your skin could burn easily, this is especially if essential oils have been used within your massage- where you should avoid direct sunlight altogether for 24 hours.

Facial Aftercare

Do drink plenty of water, aim for 6-8 glasses a day to aid in detoxification and keeping your skin hydrated

Wear a daily SPF of 30 or higher.

Avoid direct sun exposure for 7 days before and after your facial

Avoid applying heavy makeup straight away. It's best to wait 24-48 hours.

Avoid any exfoliation and using retinol / Aha's / Bha's and peptides for 5 days.

Avoid using sauna's/ steam rooms for 24 - 48 hours.

Schedule your facials every 4-6 weeks to achieve optimal skin health.
