Hello, I’m Jo, your facial therapist.
I’ve always been passionate about hair and beauty. I started my career in hairdressing but shifted my focus to beauty treatments and have been doing for the past six to seven years. I truly enjoy the calming aspect of these treatments.
However, my working life has been challenging. I had to take a break from work due to a significant health setback. Despite this, I continued to learn and attend training courses to enhance my knowledge and skills. I did my best to make the most of the situation.
It was during this time that I noticed a connection between the products we apply to our skin and their impact on our bodies and minds.
I became an ambassador for an incredible skincare brand because I align with their values of using natural ingredients and their ethos. I was thoroughly impressed with their products. They made my skin feel gorgeous, soft, smooth, and most importantly, healthy. I started using and selling their organic skincare products, and I’ve it all carried on from there.
Having struggled with my own skin due to psoriasis, I wanted to learn more about it and gain a deeper understanding of skin anatomy. I wanted to be able to help others to feel happy and healthy in their skin too.
As soon as I was able, I enrolled in training, and my passion for facials was truly ignited.
I absolutely love the opportunity to provide a relaxing and transformative facial experience for my clients as well as been part of your skin journey.
I’ve been busy creating a luxurious space that reflects the experience I want to offer. Now, I’m ready to take my skills to the next level and provide exceptional facials.

I’m based at my home in Royston, Hertfordshire. You can reach me through a side gate, an alleyway, and there you’ll find a cabin at the back of the garden. That’s where my home salon, ‘The Skin Space,’ is located. (Check out the photos!)

I booked in for a DECAAR Breath of Life Facial with Jo & just had to write about my experience, I had the most relaxing facial! From the initial booking it was clear Jo really cares about the whole experience you receive, you are asked about your preferences for the room ambiance & Jo takes a comprehensive history to understand your requirements for the treatment & tailors her service accordingly. I was super comfy & warm in her beautiful garden studio, it was like a slice of heaven & I was super relaxed as soon as I arrived. The treatment itself was wonderful, lots of steps which left my skin feeling renewed, brighter & much more hydrated. Jo knew which areas to work on more & my skin looks awesome the next day. Very pleased & would highly recommend.

The space is beautifully aesthetic, and Jo even adjusted the room temperature exactly how I like it — such a thoughtful touch. The facial and massage were just what I needed. Jo is such a talented facialist! She did such an incredible job of making me feel comfortable and relaxed that I actually fell asleep during the treatment! I went for the anti-ageing facial, which made my skin glow for days! I booked ‘The relaxed facial’ with Jo and it was amazing. It was my first time visiting The Skin Space and Jo made me feel so at home and so comfortable. She messaged me before hand and gave me instructions on where to park and how to find her as there were planned road works. This was a great help as I’m an anxious traveller sometimes and worry. We had a chat at the start of the appointment which put me at ease and set me up for the treatment. The bed is very comfortable and I had plenty of layers to keep me cosy. The products Jo uses are lovely, they feel incredible on the skin and smell even nicer!! (My personal fav is the one that smells a little like a Terry’s chocolate orange!). She used plenty of products throughout the treatment and massage and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I was so relaxed by the end of the treatment I could have fallen asleep. I was so disappointed it was over!! I would highly recommend Jo and The Skin Space to everyone!!

Not only was Jo instantly warm, welcoming and so friendly, her space absolutely reflected this, smelling divine, looking sparkly clean, relaxing and inviting! It made you want to crawl immediately into THE comfiest bed I have ever laid on which Jo adjusts to make sure your in the perfect placing for the most luxuriously relaxing experience.
